RUSH: I am starting to sense it. I am starting to see it. When I sense it, when I see it, it probably is true. That's been my track record. I think I detect the media heading into damage control on the Herman Cain story. A lot of media are. This day five now, and still nobody knows what he did. Not a single media outlet can report what he did!
Some are even suggesting that The Politico had no business running this story. These are other journalists who are beginning to say this. ... The media is also in damage control over the Occupy Oakland riots the night before last. I mean, yesterday the media was trying to pretend the Oakland protests were peaceful; the very model of a love fest, but now the truth is coming out along with some of the pictures and they're switching over to damage control mode -- and they're doing the same thing in the Herman Cain story.
Really, folks, five days now, and nobody knows what he did... Nobody knows still. Five days!
...No matter what happens here, every Republican candidate for the nomination -- every one of them -- is so superior to Barack Obama, it's laughable. Of course the Drive-Bys know that, and Democrats know that. But when you have the Washington Post and ABC News in their joint poll saying that 70% of Republicans don't care about the Herman Cain allegations, what that can be translated to is the following:
"Politico, you failed. You attempted, along with others in the mainstream media, to take the guy out, and you failed. Your influence isn't what you thought it was.

it’s amazing how many people on this forum believe the msm!
Thjat’s the truth
Anita Hill was a dumbell but she was a HOT dumbell (my favorite kind)
“Karl Rove needs to go away.”
I agree. This attack on Caine has Rove’s fingerprints all over it. It’s the same MO Rove used when he attacked our senate candidates in 2010. It’s time to take this snake down.
Let’s see, 9% unemployment, probably higher if true stats were evaluated, a housing market that sees no relief in sight!, an individual in the WH who still perfers to blame Bush and/or the Republican House for his lack of leadership, a steady decline of our nation to China’s benefit. And the main stream media thinks they can take down Herman Cain with a Clarence Thomas style attack—what kind of drugs are they smoking? And trust me, with Barak Obama as their candidate, they gotta be smokin something to relieve the pain!

“His story has generally been ignored by the mainstream media, because he’s been unable to substantiate his allegations. He has come to public attention recently, however, because his planned appearance at the National Press Club drew complaints from a wide array of prominent liberal bloggers, led by Firedoglake’s Jane Hamsher. Their petition to prevent Sinclair from renting space at the club which bloggers feared would lend him credibility drew more than 11,000 signatures. “
“Politico isn’t reprinting Sinclair’s allegations because they are unsubstantiated. “

good catch
The tards defanged that particular category of smear during Clinton when we were told that “everybody does it” and (if they don’t) “it’s a private matter anyway.”
So nothing to see here - just move on.
“Karl Rove needs to go away.”
I heard a little of Gay Rove whining yesterday on Sean’s program.
Any bets that Gay Rove and his rino were up to their you know whats in this fiasco for them.
These floats were part of the annual Carnival Parade in Germany watched by an estimated three million people. With our liberal press, it is interesting to see that German citizens seem to learn more truth about the U.S. political system and environment than the majority of citizens on the streets of America. link
I don’t see anything at RCP confirming what you are claiming.
Right here...
Unfortunately, as Rush himself implied the other day, the court of public opinion does not recognize a statute of limitations.
“and freepers who sucked down the media spew and began to trash Cain owe the rest of us an apology for being so stupid.”
They can’t help it. Their love for their candidate blinds them to facts, logic, reason and fairplay..
Rush is really on board with Cain. I think it started because he immediately felt a deja vu thing with Clarence Thomas and now he’s too blinded to notice the extremely poor way that Cain has handled his first crisis.
I think you owe freepers an apology. I support Perry but I immediately defended Cain on these charges when they first came out.
I stopped defending him when he flailed about, blaming everyone but himself and blaming Perry who had nothing to do with it.
After all, it was Cain who decided some while back to stonewall on this story hoping it wouldn’t come out.
If it’s nothing, and I always thought it was, he could have defused it by making a statement early, some kind of dignified statement refuting the charges and then shutting up.
I think he’s really enjoying his victim status now and relishing the support of Rush and Hannity, etal and using it as a fund raising tool.
Rove is gay? Do you have personal knowledge of that?
