Herman Cain huddled with Henry Kissinger in New York on Thursday, discussing foreign policy with the elder statesman. According to Mark Block, Cains chief of staff, the former secretary of state also commented on Cains notorious campaign video, which shows Block smoking.
Halfway through Mr. Cains conversation, Doctor Kissinger turns and points to me and says, That smoking thing you did was brilliant. I sat there thinking, Dr. Henry Kissinger just said something I did was brilliant, Block says. We all got a good chuckle.
Block adds that Kissinger was impressed by Cains questions. He told him that he meets with any candidate who wants to get his views. But he told Mr. Cain that most come in and ask about what they should say on the Sunday shows. Mr. Cain, he pointed out, asked what he should do when he is president a different kind of approach for this kind of meeting.
The meeting, which lasted over an hour, covered a variety of topics, Block says. China, the Middle East, Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan, among other hot spots, featured in the conversation.

Oh well, I have my yard sign and bumper sticker which came in the mail yesterday!!! Time to see liberal head's explode here in Obamaland!!!
Yes, but See-BS's Bob Schieffer didn't. :-P
That was a handrolled cigarette. Mr. Block is a rugged dude.
He will eventually ask to get together with some core Freepers.
"With clarity identify enemies....and stop giving them money....
(.....and it works for enemies both foreign and domestic)
There are quite a few FReepers that know Mr. Cain personally. Not me, but I have shaken his hand a few times :-)
Cain should be encouraged to foster Freeperdom ~ he needs us.
He’s lost his mind.
Women and minorities are hit hardest by smoking.
If I were running for president (yeah, right), I’d be talking to anyone and everyone on the GOP side of the aisle, past and present. I’d want as much broad-based knowledge of goings on as I could inhale. That doesn’t mean I’m open to bad ideas; just that I’m my own man and can filter in the good, out the bad. But I’d have a broad perspective from which to work. Pretty insightful, IMO.
Apparently Ford had been a witness or something at some trial - probably a civil suit or something. Anyways the opposing attorney was insinuating that Ford didn't know everything, to which Ford replied that no, he didn't know everything. What he did know is that to find an answer, he would find men who did know the answer to a problem or question.
I can't remember the exact details of this story but it went along those lines. I'll have to find my "Think and Grow Rich" book as that's where I read about this first.

More people DON'T smoke. In fact smoking is a liberal trait in that 30% of liberals smoke but only about 20% of conservatives. Driving a wedge between the libertarian wing of the GOP versus the cultural conservatives seems to be a poor choice.
Herman Cain didn't miss the opportunity to meet with the man who went to China in 1972, itself a brilliant move.Rush cites Albright to Scarborough that Herman didn't call her because "I'm the wrong gender."
Rush says, no, it's because she's Madeleine Albright.
I ask do we think Cain the defender of Israel and opponent of Iran is not aware that Albright studied under Zbigniew Brzezinski who in 2004 co-authored with Robert Gates the CFR paper Iran: Time for a New Direction--
Brzezinski, the Carter architect of the Shah's betrayal and the Ayatollah's empowerment joins with the soon-to-be Bush-Obama SecDef to now play nice with the only nation-state embodying the Seventh Century threat to Western Civilization.
Dr. Kissinger is reviled by the Left. But Herman Cain knows to talk with those very few who have been at the center of the geostrategic process.
The other candidates wanted some coaching for the cameras.
Herman Cain wants wisdom to make history.
Rich white women are likely still looking to slander a Black Politician working hard to establish a name for himself. A Black Man working his ass off to succeed in White majority America is being falsely accused by white guys looking to make a name for themselves. Where is Maxine Waters, Rangel, Jesse Jackson, Farrakhan, Sharption and the rest of the Congressional Bkack Causcus on this ? WHy dont they help defend him and help prove that he’s being falsely accused by whites, possibly even due to their racial prejudices. It is a hard one. I cant figure it out.
Huh?
“If he’s thinking of appointing Kissinger an advisor he’s crazy.”.....
I’ve seen video of Kissinger praising Obama and saying “Obama is poised to usher in the New World Order”....He’s a one world government traitor.....I wouldn’t take his advice on anything......
I believe that smoking is a major health hazard. It is one of the most addictive drugs. I think society should do everything it can to help young people never start smoking and adults to quit smoking.
Having said that, I don’t believe it should be illegal ( although illegal to sell it to minors ). I don’t think smokers should be villified or treated as outcasts. I think the government should be involved only in educational efforts and if someone is receiving medical insurance (Medicare) any smoking cessation programs should be offered to them as part of their health care.
As for the video, well, some people smoke and adults have that choice.
