During an interview with CNN's John King on Thursday, the Texas governor said that expectations that U.S. authorities are going to arrest and deport up to 15 million undocumented immigrants isn't realistic.

You can put a program into place in which these individuals can be identified, and work visas in which they can move back and forth between their countries but not to become United States citizens,” Perry said. “And I think that’s where McCain, that’s where Romney, that’s where even Bush went wrong when they talked about the issue that, ‘we’re going to give amnesty to these individuals,’ and people just said, ‘no, we’re not.’”
Perry didn’t elaborate on what such a visa plan would look like, saying only that authorities need to determine a better way to identify illegal immigrants and make them part of mainstream society. He also said the program would only work if the federal government first does a better job securing America’s borders.
“I disagree with the concept that somehow or another we’re going to pack up 10, to 12, to 15 million people and ship them back to the country of origin. That’s not going to happen,” Perry said. “So realty has to be part of our conversation. And then you need to have a strategy to deal with it. That is what I think we will have, but first you have to secure that border.”
Work visas to go back and forth between Mexico and the US. Great idea Ricardo. Not only will Americans lose more jobs but they’ll spend the money they make here in Mexico. In addition this idiot said the old mantra “we can’t just send millions of illegals home”. Hey dumb ass Ricardo you don’t send them all back at once, it takes time. The 25 million plus did not come here overnight. Turn off the spigot, jobs, welfare, education, free medical, food stamps, free housing. All this will help stem the tide.
A true statement on face value, but enforcing existing laws against illegal immigrants AND EMPLOYERS, and eliminating incentives like IN-STATE TUITION, would go further to encourage self-deportation. Something Perry has failed to do in Texas.
In other words: not legal = not welcome.

This is no surprise at all to most Texans. And what’s the big deal? We’ve been trying to get this for years. Buy a guest worker’s permit for a limited amount of time if you want to work here, get a TID and pay taxes. The state makes money off the permits and the feds get their damned taxes. Slam bam the crops get picked, the menial ranch work gets done and they go back home when their permit runs out.
It used to work perfectly, even without permits, until the Marxist democrats opened up the welfare state and the men started bringing their kids and squatting here instead.
In every instance if you let the Marxist democrats make decisions you’ve just screwed the pooch.
Look at Alabama. Their crops are rotting in their fields because everybody’s too damned good to go pick them and they’re losing a ton of money.
And the big laugh on you honkers thinking this is a bad deal is that the country is FULL OF FOREIGNERS right now brought in on H1B1 visa’s for specialized work areas. It’s already implemented US policy and you’re too stupid to know it.

Most folks on FR know plenty about the H1B1 fiasco as well as other problems involving aliens, legal and illegal. The only stupid one I’ve seen on this site today is you, dumbass.
