TV comedian Steven Colbert recently went to the Occupy Wall Street rally in Che costume and picked a couple of "nice, clean, and idealistic" OWS protesters whom he later took to his pretend posh condo over Ziccotti Park and tried to seduce them with money and creature comforts. And now Americans on the both sides of the moral divide are trying to figure out what Colbert's "co-occupation" of Wall Street really meant.
But a funnier, and more revealing clip with one of these activists named "Ketchup" comes from real life - protesting while stoned - captured on video and posted on YouTube. If you think she's just like the 99% of us, you must be even higher than Ketchup. See her at the bottom of the post. For now let's stick to the order of appearance.

Which is what heavy drug use does to a person.
Here's a pic I took at Occupy San Francisco on the 29th, showing a group of stoners sharing their weed on a tray, with a stoner on the right rolling a doobie. They're about 100 feet from the nearest police officer, on the edge of the camp at Justin Herman Plaza.
Colbert's act is a twisted spoof similar to the People's Cube - only coming from the opposite direction. In the beginning of the episode he outlined the premise: the Tea Party had quickly sold out for cash; so let's see if the OWS can be bought as well. The conclusion we are being spoon-fed is that the "spontaneous grass roots movement" called Occupy Wall Street is not for sale - they are the "true, honest, and lovable representatives of the people" whom you can trust.
Colbert himself is playing a caricature of a cynical and corrupt plutocrat who believes money runs everything - which is how the Left sees all capitalists. Essentially, Colbert and the two OWS activists are attuned to the same mental frequency. His two "interviewees" know exactly what they're doing and are likely Colbert's biggest fans - just like the rest of the OWS residents who get their news and opinions from Comedy Central.
They look like they have 99 brain cells altogether.
This is hilarious.
There was a Spanish woman who tried to engage me in imago therapy for about ten minutes. Also, Lots of Trotskyists.

I grant that Colbert probably created the video with no intent to do conservatives any favors.
However, the inherit, undeniable truth of the situation - that the OWS protesters are a bizarre marxist hippy cult - utterly overwhelmed any original goals the segment may have had to bash the right.
Try not to overanalyze. The end result was a home-run for the right, and a disaster for the left.
These communes (remember them?) remind me of Lord of the Flies.
Considering the intended audience—it ain’t The Right—I don’t see how it’s a homerun. Colbert’s cred with the college lefties is only secured by this.
Emos.
Watching Colbert makes my brain hurt. It’s liberal Stephen Colbert, pretending to be a conservative, but in reality he is mocking conservatives. The premise is odious, and the show is boring and unfunny.
Thanks for the link. I visited that one on the 29th, and it was definitely a circus atmosphere.
New York has much stricter laws on drug consumption, otherwise you might see the same thing at Zuccotti Park.
They also don’t allow nudity in NY like they do in San Francisco.
Didn't spot anyone smoking joints, but the smell was potent inside of the park.
