“And your mother smalls of elderberries!”

Actuallu. I never understood that line.

“What, some watery bint threw a sword at you, and that makes you king of England?”

Now that line made sense.

The elderberry thing - I don’t get it.

Hell, I don't get Brits, then or now. That Bean guy is creepy, and they think that's highbrow humor. But, we have Carrot Top, so who am I to criticize?

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

“Two peoples, seperated by a common language...”

What a furking jerk.

That would be “your Mother was a hamster and your Father smelt of elderberries”. I believe he was accusing Arthur’s father of being a sot (but what do I know about it?).

It sounds like Dodge City is letting the James Gang have their run of the town. Or something like that.

Now that the Obama Administration greenlighted Mexican commercial truck fleets to operate unrestricted in the United States, a single Christmas season of disruption at US West Coast ports will be enough for Chinese and other Asian shipping companies to reroute through northern Mexico.

It’s that simple.

IF it’s easier and cheaper to deal with the Mexican drug cartels control of Mexican port facilities than to deal with US lunatics green/red lawfaring and blockading US ports, then Chinese shipping companies will reroute...

Love it when the Left eats its’ own. Mayor Quan is a leftist twerp and she is being outgunned by her own radicals. Love it.

Same here. I'm rooting them on. Libtards vs. libtards is great fun to watch.

So we are waiting fir the next step in fixing her up.
I think she looks pretty good.
But, I’m an optimist who worships a God of Hopefull Expectations, with great outcomes.
I’m not a DR. But I slept pretty good last night.
Vitals look good

I’d like to see O2 come up to normal and stable but, she’ll get there.

The International Longshormen and Warehouse Union (ILWU) is backing this. Remember it was the ILWU that took over a west coast dock and held the guards hostage only a few weeks ago. It's getting to look like the 1930-40 in this country. Patriotic Americans better be ready for the long struggle to again drive them back into their holes whining about "McCarthism."

"In the summer of 1934, West Coast longshoreman struck
for 83 days, closing ports up and down the West Coast.
In Seattle, the longshoreman galvanized the city's labor
movement and -- as this Seattle Daily Times frontpage
shows -- inspired fears of the labor movements' strength
and radicalism."

Yes, elderberry wine is the period (intended period of the movie) equivalent to MD 20/20. Cheap, stinky wine. If one smelt of elderberries it was a sure sign of a desperate drunk (or so I’ve read).

You can use your favorite search engine with the search term “what does your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries mean” (sans quotes) and get a fair number of hits that have similar answers to the question.

To an extent; all art is what one reads into it or interprets it as - even British performing art...

Looks like the typical Oakland thug demographic came in and joined the party later on — trashed buildings, set fires.

“...Of the crowd of thousands, Jordan said, a small group of just 60 or 70 people now identified as anarchists were responsible for the vandalism, Jordan said...”

That’s all it takes to direct a larger group - a well-trained, hardcore cadre of agitators to move the brainwashed useful idiots like puppets in any direction they choose.

They STUDY crowd dynamics, and tactical mob direction. This is what communist/socialist agitators do. Even that old retarded moron communist Angela Davis is there...

So that when the police “over-react” and the pre-positioned media flunky cameras are rolling, the “peaceful protestors” suddenly become “victims” of police brutality.

Standard tactic. They’ve been well-trained.

That being said, it’s time to stomp them into the ground so the port is re-opened. By blocking the port and destroying people’s properties, they go from peaceful protestors to domestic economic terrorists.

But hey...the cops are good ol’ union boys too. Nothing much will happen.

(shrug) These kids and assorted animals have nothing else to do.

I remember sitting in a dorm dining hall at Penn State in 1972 when word spread that there was going to be a “protest” that afternoon out on Atherton Street. We went over there to check out the party and the chicks and pass around some bottles of wine and stuff. It was fun. I asked what the protest was about (I knew it had something to do with Vietnam) and finally somebody said it was about our bombing a “trail” in Cambodia or Thailand or Laos or whatever. It was a fun party. We shut down Atherton Street, man!

Anyway, guaranteed, most of the people at this “protest” are there for the party and to gape.
