I know his parents, I know his wife’s family.

You poor thing. :-)

I don't expect a serious answer, since this is an admittedly snarky question.

About a week or ten days ago, several sources claimed that Anita was the one who prompted or is pushing Rick's run for the Oval Office (in apparent contradiction of his promise that he would stay as Gov. if elected, and not run for the White House).

From your knowledge of the family, as a "percentage" so to speak, how true is it that she is the one driving this?

Cheers!

No truth at all to that accusation.

Let me make it clear, I have never met Rick. I was a delegate at the Texas Republican Convention the first time he ran on his own for Governor, and I voted for him then. I was with the delegation from Haskell County and his parents were there. He was "asked" to run, but not by Anita.

If you have something snarky to say about Anita, you had best not let my father hear it. He is a crusty 86 year old West Texas farmer and WWII vet. If you want your A$$ kicked say something snide about her. She nursed my grandfather before he died and is a fine lady.

An Austin Newspaper reporter made such a transgression and it is a good thing he was not near here. hee hee hee
