Three homeless men were arrested and two teenage girls were taken to the hospital with signs of alcohol consumption Tuesday afternoon after police responded to an incident in Lee Park, which has been home to the Occupy Charlottesville movement for more than two weeks.

Three adult males were charged with offenses ranging from contributing to the delinquency of a minor, drunk in public, trespassing and possession of marijuana, according to the Charlottesville Police Department.

They go on to say that these guys weren't with the Occupy Charlottesville group. I still partially blame the Occupy people though as they're creating the atmosphere where this happened.

Great comment:

So normally the homeless can't sleep in the park, but they can now because it's part of a protest? That doesn't add up.

The tent belonged to a homeless person that was a member of the protest, but the homeless that were arrested in his tent weren't? That doesn't add up.

Isn’t this EXACTLY what goes on at all those Tea Parties?

These Obamavilles are dangerous places for underage girls. Where are their parents?

“People that haven’t really been here were found in one of the tents intoxicated,” Knappenberger said...

This Carpetbagger guy sounds like a real genius. How did they get in to a tent on the site if they "haven't really been" there?

On the other hand, maybe it's some kind of philosophical puzzle: 'If a person is not really been here, can they still end up drunk in your tent'?

At least here in Indianapolis, the homeless shelters mandate no booze or drugs, and most are run by religious orgs which means you will get a dose of religion with your free grub and cot.

It looks to me like the homeless are gravitating to “occupy” zones which don’t have those “requirements”.

C-ville is a liberal stronghold. Home to UVA. They voted 80% kenyan in 2008. The occupy fools will be allowed to sleep, drink, rape and pillage anywhere they want.

We should stop calling this protest "Occupy Charlottesville".

Obama has been using these to drum up sympathy for his cause, and it's time to make him own them.

Start calling them what they really are:

Obamaville

Spread the meme....
