Many Occupy Wall Street protesters arrested in New York City reside in more luxurious homes than some of their rhetoric might suggest, a Daily Caller investigation has found.
For each of the 984 Occupy Wall Street protesters arrested in New York City between September 18 and October 15, police collected and filed an information sheet recording the arrestees name, age, sex, criminal charge, home address and in most cases race. The Daily Caller has obtained all of this information from a source in the New York City government.
Among addresses for which information is available, single-family homes listed on those police intake forms have a median value of $305,000 a far higher number than the $185,400 median value of owner-occupied housing units in the United States.
Some of the homes where Occupy arrestees reside, viewed through Google Maps and the Multiple Listing Service real estate database, are the definition of opulence.

Now it all fits. They are Dem. Donors.
Yes, it's nice, but I'm not sure how living free in mom and dad's basement confers much in the way of ownership rights or income.
a 305,000 dollar crib in NYC ain’t much...it might be 65,000 ranch here in rural TN
Manhattan resident 1980-88
and even then my brownstone one bedroom on west 85th between west end and riverside sold for 330,000 in 1985
800 sq ft
I’d agree and I don’t think you can find a studio apartment with one closet for $305,000 in any part of NYC where you wouldn’t want an armed security detail to protect you. There are plenty of reasons that the OWS protests are awfully dumb, but mom’s house isn’t one of them.
In a non-scientific poll of America's top mainstream media cartoonists an overwhelming majority of 99% found that the nationwide "Occupy Wall Street" movement was good for America but especially good for them personally.
Said one well know cartoonist: "I was running of out ideas for propping up Michelle and Barack Obama and the entire administration. In fact, I think most of us were. We were having a difficult time ignoring the mounting scandals such as Sloyndra, Gun Walker, and Fast and Furious. Now this new movement has captured the attention of America and given me and others the opportunity to apply our creative genius in an entirely new direction. With any luck the Occupy movement and as yet unrevealed republican scandals will keep us busy until the political conventions next summer."
Another thing fits -
these spoiled brats have lived all their lives having everything provided for them, never suffering any real privation,
and now they look at a future where they will be expected to provide for themselves and they don’t like it.
They want to replace their parents with the government.
In other news, the sun rose in the east this morning and is likely to set in the west tonight.
Yeah - but the ranch is in rural TN and the “crib” is in NYC.
There’s a reason for the prices which goes beyond size.
and now they look at a future where they will be expected to provide for themselves and they dont like it.
They want to replace their parents with the government.
Which is exactly what they have been taught in the government propaganda mills called public schools.
that is the whole point...a 330K home in NYC is not rich
...reside in more luxurious homes than some of their rhetoric might suggest...Thanks martosko.
