Texas Gov. Rick Perry may have slipped badly in recent weeks of polling, but he's doing the best of any Republican presidential candidate attracting political contributions from females.
According to a new study by the Center for Responsive Politics, Perry is receiving a little more than a third of his donations (33.5%) above $200 from women. Former Sen. Rick Santorum is second with 32.3%.
About 27.5% of all political contributions to Republican presidential candidates have come from women, according to the Center study.

What are woman thinking these days? Woman voted more for liberal Obama in 2008 and wants to vote for another liberal in 2012 with Perry. Liberals are mad at Obama right now so they want to ensure that they at least support another liberal for the White House so they are going for Perry.
The money and support is pouring in for Herman Cain, but we cannot slow down now. Please help him by donating at http://www.hermancain.com/
Also to help join the buzz about Herman go to facebook.com and like him. In just the last week he has jumped 13% or 42000 with an impressive 10,000 in the last 24 hours. Make no mistake Karl Rove is watching Hermans likes and so is Romney who gained just 1500 since last Tuesday. THIS is the way to stick it to the GOP establishment! Please tell your family and friends to like Herman as well.
Perry’s no liberal.
Nice spin.
I just donated 2 days ago.
The truth with set you free. Why you support this guy is such a mystery. Cain is a good man who will win. You keep supporting a loser. WAKE UP!!!!! Oh and yes Perry is a liberal and most agree with me.
From the LIBERAL Austin paper "The Statesman" 2010: Perry's lead among women bucks trendThe voter gender gap usually goes like this: Across the country, men prefer Republicans, while women prefer Democrats.
But this year in Texas, there's something unusual going on. Republican Gov. Rick Perry has a significant lead over Democrat Bill White among women.
"Perry is doing extraordinarily well among women," said Mickey Blum, whose firm, Blum & Weprin Associates Inc., conducted a poll on behalf of the American-Statesman and other newspapers. She said that in years of polling in Texas, this might be the first time she's seen more women than men backing the Republican.
The poll found that 50 percent of women who are likely voters prefer Perry, while 40 percent prefer White. Overall, 46 percent of likely voters picked Perry and 39 percent liked White, the poll said.
Democrats have enjoyed the support of a majority of women for about 30 years, said Sean Theriault, an associate professor in the government department at the University of Texas. Theriault said he's surprised by the poll results, given Perry's lack of desire to participate in a debate this fall and the way he attacked his female opponent, U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, in the Republican primary.
..."We think of women as being more grounded and fair-minded," Theriault said. "You'd think all those stories would make women even less drawn to him. I'm stunned."......
The Texas poll didn't focus on why the women prefer Perry, and interviews with poll respondents showed that reasons varied widely, ranging from religious views to the economy.
Among Perry's female supporters is Monica Otis, 52, a real estate agent in Farmers Branch, who said she thinks of him as a conservative, straightforward, hardworking person.
"Bottom line, I think he's a better candidate," Otis said. "I'm more in line with his expressed beliefs," such as curbing state spending."...
How old are you? LOL
How’s it going down in Mom’s basement? She bring ya breakfast yet?
Just like a liberal yourself all you can do is ignore the question. I know one thing I am younger then you, you old bag. I can’t wait to gloat when your liberal crush goes down in flames......which is doing anyway right now.
Most women vote their hearts, not their heads which is why they usually vote liberal, and why we have a welfare society. Liberal men are men who think like women.
Every morning on time or I beat her.
Since anita gives la raza rickardo his allowance, do wimmen feel better sending him their cookie jar money?
Yep, all of these questions from a sexist pig.
lol - I was going to ask the same question.
it seems the Cain people always try to come into the Perry threads and spread their beliefs. It is not going to work.
Fine. You are welcome to support your liberal 4 percent candidate.....ROTFLMAO. I will continue to support the smart articulate conservative Cain who is at 32 percent. I guess I am the more conservative of the two of us.
That is an interesting statistic about Perry.
Romney is usually credited with his looks, but I guess Perry wins the contest for female fantasies.
Frankly, this is insulting to women. It is like the “Ginger or Mary Ann” question from Gilligan’s Island.
