One of the women who accused GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual harassment wants to tell her side of the story but is barred by a confidentiality agreement, her attorney in Washington said Tuesday.

Lawyer Joel P. Bennett called on the National Restaurant Association, where the woman and Cain worked in the late 1990s, to release the woman from her written promise not to talk about the allegations or disparage the trade group.

Because the case is more than a dozen years old, Bennett said he no longer has the file nor the confidentiality agreement ... he said that he had not even remembered the name of the association official who his client had accused. He said doesn’t remember going to the association offices and thinks the matter might have been handled over fax and phone, and quite expeditiously.

Translation: it was a nothingburger.

Is her name “Anita Hill”? This chick just needed to buy a few days wiggle room to be adequately coached on her story.

Whoever she is, she sounds like a real drama queen. Just the type who makes false accusations against powerful men.

She will out herself. She is too money-hungry to avoid the limelight.

I want a name. That way we can start tracking down where this story came from. My guess is it rhymes with Pitt Domney or Mick Berry.

Right after she pays back the settlement money...with interest and the NRA donates it to the Cain campaign

I'm sure Politico will compensate her for her "analysis" or maybe Karl Rove will hire her for some "office" position.

The National Enquirer has the money to make this story go viral.

To date, the propaganda isn't working.

So. She works for the Federal Government and listed her former employment with the NRA.

She was either gossiping at the water cooler and disclosed her dislike for Herman with hints about her claims of sexual harrassment and a DEM operative ran with it.

Or - she went to Politico on her own.

Herman Cain has never named her - he has only referred to having been falsely accused by an NRA employee - that he was exonerated and believed that she settled or was terminated with a severance type payment.

If H.Cain is so terrible - why does she think it is her and not one of a many more poor abused wymin?

I am betting she will be offered an amount 10-20 times larger than what she was given in the settlement which would give her the green light to talk.

She will repay whatever the settlement was plus interest and still be ahead. If the liberals spend 300 grand for this piece of trailor trash to come out and lie or whatever she plans to do, wouldn’t that be a great investment to the liberal cause?

SHE ALREADY VIOLATED THE AGREEMENT! How else would the media be “staking out her home in suburban Maryland”? Because she already came forward and talked to Politico (and Obama reps) by name. The NRA should tell her to f-off, and she should be compelled to pay back the full settlement money, with interest, with a renewed gag order place and larger civil damages should she come forward publicly.

I'm guessing it has the fingerprints of a Gnarl Stove.

My money would be on option two. She thought she could derail Mr. Cain with a drive by accusation. Now it is starting to get messy for her and no one else.

The NRA could move against her, so she is trying to get authorization after the fact.

Could be. Could also be the Dems because Obama would rather run against Romney, who so far seems to have immunity from attacks . . .

Bingo! The only thing that is keeping her from talking right now is that she knows that the National Restaurant Association will sue her from here to dooley if she does.

As for the settlement money, there will be hundreds of MSM outlets not only willing to pay that back for her, they’ll shovel six figure sums into her greedy hands just for the exclusive first interview.

I’m sure dollar signs are doing a lovely dance in front of her eyes right now.

It might have (come up in that Senate race) if Cain had won the primary, but Johnny Isakson won instead, another good guy.
