POLITICO's Reid Epstein reports:
Herman Cain's Iowa chairman, Steve Grubbs, said the POLITICO story about sexual harassment claims against Cain will only serve to motivate the campaign in the first-in-the-nation state.
"I bet we'll land more precinct captains than we did before the story," Grubbs told POLITICO Monday. "These sorts of distractions are not stopping our campaign from reaching our daily goals."
Grubbs, who declined to comment on how Cain and his national staff are handling the situation, said the campaign in Iowa has "a full phone bank of volunteers" making calls on Cain's behalf Monday. He said the story is "not much of a distraction."
"We will make more phone calls today than Friday. We'll make more phone calls tomorrow than we made today," he said. "My goal is to get an organization built in Iowa in a short amount of time and we have daily goals and every day we're exceeding those goals."
...Ain't working:
To help Herman send him something http://www.hermancain.com/
but also like him at facebook.com.
Facebook likes are a new way to count buzz. Starting from way back, Herman has increased his likes by 8% in just the last week. Mitts has a huge lead in likes but he has been running for a long time.
