'Democrats trying to co-opt OWS protest'
Tue Nov 1, 2011 8:26AM
Interview with Stephen Lendman, writer and radio host, Chicago

**SNIP**

Lendman: The Democrats are smarter. They are trying to co-opt the protest, to get people to believe that the Democrats actually support them.

... I quoted Obama, in my article that will go out later. Obama basically saying, I'm on their side. To hell he's on their side!

He's wrecked the economy, he's widened the wealth gap, he's enriched the bankers, he's waging multiple wars, they cost well over a trillion dollars.

Every dollar spent on war means one less on homeland needs. He's ruined the lives of these people. He's ignored millions of people who've had their homes foreclosed. He's ignored 26 million people in America unemployed, 23 percent of the population, unemployed.

We haven't had numbers like this since the Great Depression!

Any day now, John F’n Kerry will embrace Occupy Wall Street. At that point, you will know with metaphysical certitude that OWS is a spent political force.

It is not captialism that is the problem, it’s crony capitalism that is the problem. There is no such thing as too big to fail. The bigger they are, the richer the fertilizer for new growth.

But lobbyists are preventing the system from working. Political Access has ossified the commercial sector, freezing today’s winners at the top and preventing any progress by challengers.

This is the exact opposite of what Wall Street does. Wall Street is always looking for the grower. They are looking to buy low and sell high. But politicians are looking to keep those who are selling high now selling high forever, because those high-fliers are the ones making the bribes and filling the campaign coffers.

This is not a Wall Street problem. This is a K Street problem.

Democrats trying to co-opt OWS protest

Co-opt it?...They've owned it, bought and paid for, from the very beginning.

It's just another astroturf charade to mimic the TEAparty and deflect blame from their idiotic RAT public policy disasters which destroyed the lending industry, the US economy, and many foreign economies.

Grab the popcorn, we’re getting to the good part. This is where the leftists figure out (finally) that their ‘movement’ was never really theirs.

This jackwagon actually has a radio show?

If you have high speed internet access, some streaming audio software that you can probably download for free, and three hours a day with nothing better to do, you can have a radio show.

This “movement” has not been theirs since the first march was about to fizzle and the unions all came running to the 11th hour rescue. This is Little Richie Trumka’s movement now.
