Chelsea Clinton will not run for Congress, her spokesman said, squelching a simmering rumor that the scion of the famous political family will follow in her parents’ footsteps and seek elected office.
“This is 100 percent false. She’s not running for Congress in the 18th District or any other,” spokesman Matt McKenna told New York’s Daily News Wednesday.
The New Rochelle, N.Y., blog “Talk of the Sound” wrote Tuesday that the young Clinton was considering a run to replace Rep. Nita Lowey, D-N.Y., in 2012. Clinton had been “approached by the right people” in the state Democratic Party to consider making a bid for Lowey’s seat, the blog wrote.
Also, Politico hinted earlier this month that Clinton was being considered to replace Lowey, 74, who represents the Westchester, N.Y., town where Bill and Hillary Clinton live.
A spokesman for Lowey denied the rumors and

It’s weird how the bed wetters in the state run “media” have been pimpin’ Hillary and now Chelsea Clinton a lot lately. I think it may be an indicator that the Obama Tingle is starting to wear off with the fairies in the “media”.
I hate lousy journalism. Lowey represents the district that the town that the Clintons live in happens to be in; she does not represent the town that the Clintons live in.
Chelsea does not even live in Westchester. WTF?
Then again, Hitlery pressured Moynahan to resign so she didn’t have to run against an incumbant.

Our elites are behaving more and more like royalty with the mainstream press aiding and abetting. We have the Kennedy family. We have the Bush family. We have the Clinton family. We have the Jessie Jackson family. In Florida there is the Connie Mack family. Political positions are becoming offices our nobility pass down to their children. How long will it take before we have the titles of nobility as well?
I doubt Chelsea had any intent of running this year. This was merely a public relations stunt to begin getting the sheeple ready for her to run in 2014 or 2016. She has already been give a corporate board seat at the tender age of 31, not to mention a high paying Wall Street job even though she doesn’t have the usually requisite MBA degree from a top 10 business school.
Here’s one more thought. If a vacancy occurs on the Supreme Court before the 2012 elections, particularly one of the conservative positions, Obama is going to want to get his nominee approved. Who better than Bill Clinton or Hillary Clinton to appoint to the Court in the event of a Scalia or Kennedy vacancy? Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, John McCain, Lindsay Graham, Richard Lugar will not vote against Bill or Hillary for the Court.
