City officials and protesters are holding a meeting Friday afternoon at the mayor’s office to discuss the Occupy movements throughout Los Angeles County, a police spokesman said.

The meeting includes representatives from the Los Angeles Police Department, members of the Occupy L.A. movement and at least one representative of the start-up Occupy San Fernando Valley protest, which is slated to kick off Saturday morning, according to LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith.

The meeting will likely determine the fate of Occupy San Fernando Valley and lay out guidelines if it is to proceed.

Weenie Villaraigosa backed out and left the LAPD to do the dirty work.

The LAPD and city officials have been working with the Occupy L.A. movement, allowing protesters to camp out at City Hall for the past month. However, L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa says the encampment cannot continue indefinitely. One of the reasons is because the fig trees and the grass need water.

Technically, it's against the law to camp at L.A. city parks after 10:30 p.m. The LAPD says they will enforce the law at the Van Nuys Civic Center.

"We have made concessions so this can be a place where OLA can make themselves heard, and they can still make themselves heard in Van Nuys, but we're not going to modify the rules of that Civic Center," said LAPD Chief Charlie Beck.

"We have made concessions..." And, why not allow leftists to break the law. L.A. is already a sanctuary city.

Meanwhile, the Occupy L.A. protest expanded to a Valley encampment: Occupy Wall Street protesters heading to Van Nuys

Whatever......pull all law enforcement out of protesters areas, remove all ‘porta potties’ from parks; leave rakes, shovels, and trash receptacles for whiners to clean up after themselves. Welfare is something for nothing...so give them nothing, they can afford it.
