Alec Courtney, who says he runs a shoe-shine stand at the city's Zuccotti Park to make money.

So, who in that ragtag crowd wears shoes that they get shined? Certainly most don't even own dress leather shoes and if they do, they aren't wearing them there.

Or... Is he, perhaps, hoping some Wall Street employees stroll by and pay him for shining their shoes while he demonstrates against the evils of Wall Street? If so, seems he is living off of the merits of capitalism...hmmmm?

As I recall from my college days in the early 60’s, plain white keds take on a grimy patina that shines in the latter stages. Perhaps that could be buffed up a little

Good post. A shining example of CNN’s complete lack of journalistic integrity. They are only interested in shaping the news to fit their agenda.
