I have always wondered why folks would actually hate Romney more than they hate Obama. It’s very interesting. I think it was gutsy of you to post this but surely you will be deleted before long. Nice try, though.

It’s not a matter “hating” Romney, and certainly IF he is the nominee, most reasonable people would vote for him over Obama (note, I said “reasonable” people). However, the man has a very liberal record and is one of those politicians who’s opinions are not based on core principles they hold, but rather which way the wind is blowing at the moment. He is NOT a man or deeply held principles. And, while he would be a darned sight better than Bamby, he is on the bottom of my list for the GOP nominee, regardless of what the establishment GOP or Ann Coulter think.

Go ahead, Saundra. Say FR opposition to Romney is about him being a Mormon, just like liberals say FR opposition to Obama is because he is black. You know you want to play that card, since it’s the only one in your hand. Romney is an unprincipled politician who has gone against many conservative positions in seeking office. Nominating Romney would effectively negate Obamacare as a campaign issue. He would be a disasterous choice. That is obvious to anyone who objectively looks at Romney.

Why would Romney be more hated than Barry? Consider the difference in opinion of King George III and Benedict Arnold.

Hate is a strong word. More like that face plant.....not this shi’ite again..... We have a national debt well over 100 Trillion dollars, and the party is pushing a big spender to fix it? We are running yearly deficits around $1.3 Trillion as far as the eye can see, yet the Republicans propose to cut $130 Billion, then get wobbly and cut basically nothing, but we should just accept it? Romney is a Progressive worm, a Trojan Horse in the Conservative world. He will bring nothing but more of the same policies of Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama. Unless this country takes the harsh medicine of allowing the system to crash, and reboot along the lines of the US Constitution, there is no hope for the Consitutional Republic. We all lose, and people want to put the same ‘ol POS politicians in charge for another 4 years.

Your “argument” is couched like a touchy feely liberal.

Nobody “hates” Romney here. There are a lot of people here that do not approve of several big things he’s done. Many people realize voting for Romney while attacking Obama for doing a scaled up version of what he did in MA regarding healthcare would be hypocritical.

“I have always wondered why folks would actually hate Romney more than they hate Obama.”

That’s pretty easy. Romney’s positions are not much different from Obama’s, yet Romney calls himself a Republican.

Wonder no more. With Barack Hussein, you know exactly what you’re getting. He’s predictable. You know how he’s going to roll. You’re not surprised that he takes the Marxist side of everything. Romney is like McCain in that you never really know how he’s going to screw you. He’ll talk a good game, execute half of a good plan, then jam on the brakes, sell out to the libs, and then take the podium bragging that he crossed the aisle and brought everybody together. Whenever a Republican “crosses the aisle” and “participates in a bipartisan solution”, it means that we’re all getting screwed HARD.

Or if you don’t like that explanation, he got elected to state govt. in Massachusetts. That’s the only reason anybody should ever have for not voting for Mr. RINO-Care.

Saundra,

Anyone who can be elected in the EU style hell hole known as Boston is in no way a conservative or even a Republican.

Saundra, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt in case this hasn't been explained to you. Romney's record is horrible. There's no excuse for it. He governed Massachusetts like a liberal, nominated democrats to the bench as judges, and drove conservatives out of the GOP. His position change to "conservative" miraculously coincided with his desire to run for president. Only truly obtuse people believe that Romney's "conversion" is for real.

Electing a guy like that to be the standard bearer for the supposedly conservative Republican party is not just a bad idea. It's suicide. If by some miracle, he manages to win the presidency (he won't, there will be a conservative 3rd party if he's the candidate) he will attempt to do to the national GOP what he did the Massachusetts GOP. He will put only liberal cronies into leadership positions. He will nominate liberals to the Supreme Court and other important federal judicial positions. He will force Republicans to support very liberal positions on social and fiscal policy. And worst of all, he'll face no Republican opposition. The democrat opposition will only force him farther left. A Romney presidency would be a nightmare of progress for socialism and liberal social policy positions that would cripple the GOP, and possibly destroy it as a force for conservatism.

Compare this to an Obama second term which will face fierce conservative Republican opposition from majorities in the House and probably the Senate as well. The GOP would continue to gain strength as a bastion of conservatism and allow us to elect an actual conservative president in 2016. As distasteful as an Obama second term might be, it is still preferable to Romney as president.

Of course, my preference is for a CONSERVATIVE Republican candidate in 2012. Rick Santorum, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, even Rick Perry would suffice. I will not accept Mitt Romney or any other liberal Republican under any circumstances. I am done voting for liberals.
