... Meet Mark Block, Cain's unorthodox campaign manager. Perhaps no one is more responsible for the Georgia businessman's meteoric rise in the presidential polls than Block, a Republican strategist and tea party leader who's left a trail of questionable campaign work behind him.
Block has been accused of voter suppression and was banned from running Wisconsin political campaigns for three years to settle accusations he coordinated a judge's re-election campaign with a special interest group.
Records show Block has faced foreclosure on his home, a tax warrant by the Internal Revenue Service and a lawsuit for an unpaid bill. He also acknowledges he was arrested twice for drunken driving. ...
In an interview with The Associated Press at Cain's campaign headquarters south of Atlanta, Block acknowledged ruffling some feathers because he - and the Cain campaign - don't "fit the mold."...

oh, my.
I remember all the research done on Obama and his people
... oh wait! that never happened!
We can expect reports on the bathroom habits of Herman Cain’s staff and supporters while we hear crickets when it comes to any factual reporting on Zero’s Imperial Regime.
Yes, of course, we all know that the entire staffs of all the other candidates of ALL parties are squeaky clean, except for Mr. Cain’s staff.
First reply had typo "my" for "many"
If these idiots are making these ludicrous ACCUSATIONS against Cain’s aides, just wait til honest journalists cite TRUTHS about The Messiah’s aides!
In a contest of accusations vs. facts, facts will win out every time.
One standard for those on the plantation and another for the ones that have left.
AP FEARS Herman Cain. He is the Leftist worst nightmare.
So this guy had a threatened foreclosure? Almost have to say that since Obama came to town who hasn't?!
“Your” responses from Block? You’re Block or you interviewed him for the article?
Checkered past yes, but it looks like part of his controversy was invited by stepping on toes and being effective rather than actually doing something wrong. It’s very fortunate he didn’t cause any tragic accidents while soused (drunk drivers endanger not just their own selves) and wise that he does not drink now.
Somebody’s bound to ask Cain if he intends to make Block secretary of state or sumfin. I hope Cain is not that Block headed (pardon the pun). Like Karl Rove might have made a great campaign manager for George W. Bush, but he really didn’t have a place as an advisor to the governing Bush.
Yeah, it doesn’t say what came of that. Sold short and the bank accepted it? Became a landlord? With the bank I have my mortgage at, foreclosures take about a year before one gets kicked out, so there is some time to play with.
Does he have a racist pastor too?
We do know about consultants and so forth with some other campaigns. There's the infamy of Ed Rollins on Bachmann's campaign, for example.
And this compares to Chicago politics?
No, that's why I had the comment deleted immediately by Admin Mod. It was an unfortunate typo as I explained in 6.
Gotcha. It crossed on the Internet.
Did they mention Bill Ayers in this piece?
Has Cain already committed to making Block chief of staff in the White House if he should win the presidency? That would be a foolish move. But Cain keeping Block as head of his campaign might just be crazy like a fox.
Let the “Cain Train” attacks begin. Of course being friends with a proven domestic terrorist, or a “church leader” that damns America is quite OK. GTH AP
And even for this guy they say he has a checkered past, not a checkered present. This is great. Cain is living like a believer in the God of second chances.
