My husband and I saw Allen West at a fundraiser for the Virginia 8th Congressional District last night (Jim Moran, Democrat). We informed Congressman West we had seen him and met him at the Free Republic National Tea Party Convention in September 2009. He told us to say hello to the Freepers!

Moran currently has no announced opposition for the election in November 2012. Republican J. Patrick Murray of Alexandria squeaked through a GOP primary in the last race and went up against Moran in the election held in November, which Moran won with 61 percent of the vote.

Why is Allen West so far down in the noise? Even Huntsman gets more press than he.
Patrick Murray was also at the event. I hope he (or someone) runs again against Moran. The emphasis now is on three Republican State Senate candidates up for Election next month.
Did you ask him to run for President?

It’s hard to see how West could have done much worse than Cain has. It looks like the GOP has progressed well beyond racial biases, and West has a smart head on his shoulders.

Cain will fix our financial crisis and West can handle our military. This would be a great duo!
I dont think West is a big cain fan-there is a recent video of him saying there is no one standing out in the race and people are still waiting for another candidate
