I’ve listened to Rush since the late 80’s. He’s made endorsements each and every election, both primary and general elections.
All one has to do is listen. No names are needed, as everything that matters is talked about on a daily basis.
If the listener isn’t able to connect the correct name to the issues Rush endorses each and every day they shouldn’t be voting anyway.

Not going after retirement invested people. 0 is also going to CONTROL the calories sailors have both at sea and on shore. On top of that the retired over 65 got hit with higher co-pays for meds, and 0 is going for a $200 in 2012 up front fees, and in 2013 a $295 up front fee for TRL. The 2012 election is a strange one for me, on a personal level, because prior to just last month, I had zero emotional investment in any of the declared candidates.
I have been a supporter of Governor Sarah Palin since 2008 and hoped she’d run for president this year; I respect her decision to not enter the race as I expected, but still nurse great disappointment because I believe the Governor would have won not just the nomination but the White House. As a Hillary Clinton supporter in 2003, it’s deja vu all over again for me, because Hillary was convinced by her own party establishment not to run in 2004 but to wait for another turn…and she missed her window for the White House. I hope the same thing doesn’t happen to Governor Palin in the end, but wish she’d made her move in 2012 when I believe it’s nearly impossible for Barack Obama to win re-election.
With Palin out of the race, I had to take a look at the declared candidates running for the presidency and pick one of them to support.
The only candidate I had any negative feelings towards was Mittens Romneycare, whom I see as the definitive embodiment of everything that’s wrong with the Republican Party today. To understand what alienates so many people from the GOP and keeps many of the “bitter, clinging, Midwesterners” (as Obama described us) from voting Republican you need only observe Mittens in action. He takes both sides of every issue and stands for nothing but his own election. He claims to have not spent his entire life in politics, conveniently “forgetting” that’s only because he’s lost every election he ran in save for this single stint at Massachusetts Governor. It’s convenient he forgets this, because he’s the “Republican Michael Dukakis” who created the basis for Obamacare Romneycare while he was in office. The entire “Occupy Wall Street” astroturfing operation you see in major cities across the country has been orchestrated by ACORN to breed foot soldiers for Obama to tear Mittens Romney apart in a general election…since there are just three people I can think of that perfectly fit the caricature of a Wall Street fat cat the Occupoopers believe deserve massive comeuppance: Gordan Gekko (from the movie Wall Street), Mr. Monopoly (the cartoon mascot from the Parker Brothers game), and Willard Mittens “Mitt” Romneycare.
In 2008, the Left and its agenda-driven media enablers seeded the race with a youthful vibe early on because the plan involved orchestrating the nomination of ancient and decrepit-looking John McCain, so that Barack Obama could win the presidency in a “Youth vs. Age” election; in 2012, the Left and its agenda-driven media enablers are seeding the race with an “Occupy Wall Street” vibe this early in the process so that by the time the Left succeeds in picking Mittens Romneycare as the GOP nominee, they’ll have mobilized a large and vicious mob to tear him to pieces and secure Obama’s re-election.
The Left knows it can’t run on Obama’s record or that Nobel Peace Prize he won for “being awesome” in 2009. The only positive attribute ever ascribed to Mittens is that “he was a Wall Street businessman a long time ago”; the Left is taking this positive away from Mittens, starting now, just as a Mittens nomination for 2012 will take Obamacare’s disastrous impact on our economy off the campaign table because of Mittens’ own Romneycare.
The Cocktail Party GOP establishment is foolishly pushing the “it’s his turn!” and “we’ve been counting on campaign jobs with him!” candidate when having Mittens on the 2012 ticket means that every rightful criticism of Obamcare will be met with a “well, Mitt Romney did the same thing in Massachusetts, and in fact is the architect of Obamacare” from every Democrat surrogate speaker.
The Romneycare candidacy will be more of a disaster than the lackluster and foolish Washington Generals-inspired non-campaign McCain mustered in 2008.
Why Republicans keep allowing the Left and its agenda-driven enablers to select their presidential nominees is a mystery I just can’t seem to solve.
So, I’ve known from the beginning that I cannot support Mitt Romney in any way at all. I will not campaign for him, and I will not vote for him, because I will not give my blessing to the suicidal “it’s his turn!” stupidity evidenced time and again by the Cocktail Party GOP establishment. With that firmly settled, I needed to take a solid look at the remaining contenders for the nomination.
Here are the five things that were important to me in determining whom I support (please add your own criteria in comments below):
1. I have to personally like a candidate to be able to campaign for her or him in any capacity. Otherwise, the best I can do in an election is write essays or knock on doors and tell people why they should not vote for the other person. I’d much rather be pro-something than against-someone.
Considering the above, I took a look at the candidates and determined I genuinely like, on a personal level, the following people:
Herman Cain
Michele Bachmann
I have disliked, for many years, the following people on a personal level:
Newt Gingrich (for what he did to his second wife and for sitting on the couch with Nancy Pelosi prostelytizing for the Global Warming Religion)
Rick Santorum (for what he did in Pennsylvania when he was a Senator and lied about his residency status)
I think the following person is creepy:
Jon Huntsman (whom I also believe is the Left’s “Plan B” and is being positioned as a Ross Perot-style spoiler intended as a third party vote splitter should Obama need that extra help next year)
I think the following person’s supporters are largely creepy:
Ron Paul (no offense to my friend Kathleen and others I know who support him…but I am just so turned off by all the Paul supporters running around in V for Vendetta masks acting foolish everywhere Dr. Paul goes)
I have a lot of trouble relating to the following person:
Rick Perry (there’s just something about the man I don’t like, and have to admit his accent makes everything he says sound a little foolish to me)
End result: I could see myself campaigning actively for Cain or Bachmann, could never lift a finger for Huntsman, and find it impossible to ever like on a personal level Gingrich, Santorum, or Perry. I believe Dr. Paul does himself a great disservice in most of his public appearances by behaving the way he does, though 70% of what he says does resonate strongly for me.
2. I can only support a presidential candidate whom I trust to take on the Left directly and show absolutely no mercy when it comes time to make the budget cuts and Cabinet Department eliminations that are needed to save this country from ruin.
With this, the people I trust to absolutely steamroll over the Left are:
Herman Cain, Ron Paul, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, and Newt Gingrich (in that order).
I believe Jon Huntsman is an Obama operative only in the Republican primaries because he’s been promised he’ll be the next Secretary of State if Obama is re-elected, so I don’t take his candidacy for the GOP nomination seriously. He is also super creepy.
3. I need to believe a presidential candidate will clobber the Cocktail Party GOP establishment as much as she or he will combat the Left.
I think the following people can be trusted to take on the Cocktail Party GOP establishment and end the “business as usual” and “go along to get along” attitude from Republican ranks that got us into the mess that we’re in:
Ron Paul, Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Jon Huntsman.
I have zero faith in Gingrich combating the establishment because for a long time he was the face of the establishment. I also come back to that couch appearance with Pelosi and his advocacy of the “Global Warming Religion”. I can’t trust Gingrich on this, so he loses points here.
4. I want a presidential candidate who will clobber Barack Obama in the debates next year.
These are the people, in order, who I believe would wipe the floor with Obama:
Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, and Michele Bachmann.
I have no faith in Rick Perry’s debating skills because he’s been painfully lackluster so far. That deeply concerns me. I just don’t think he can pull off the needed wins in the debates against Obama. At best, both of them would look foolish and the waters would be muddled for many Americans.
Dr. Paul would only keep hurting himself every time he speaks in public, which has been his problem from the beginning.
As noted previously, Jon Huntsman is working for the Obama campaign and would tee up an easy win for Obama in any debates.
5. I want a president whom I believe has the ability to make all the tough decisions in office that will turn this country around and who won’t be concerned with what the media says about her or him.
I trust the following people to do what they know to be right regardless of the consequences to their public image and media favor:
Ron Paul, Herman Cain, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, and Newt Gingrich (in that order).
Jon Huntsman, as noted, is just in this race as a stunt engineered by the Left and should not be taken seriously in the least.
End result for all of the above: Herman Cain is the candidate I’m supporting, because I like the man on a personal level, I’m confident he’ll take on the Left, I believe he’ll ignore what the Cocktail Party GOP establishment wants, I know he’ll clobber Obama in the debates, I trust his ability to make tough decisions and turn this country around, and I believe he doesn’t give a damn what the media or anyone else says about him.
After Cain, my runner-up would be Michele Bachmann…though I’ve always thought Bachmann’s destiny is to be Speaker of the House, replacing the wimpy and ineffective John Boehner in 2013.
Newt Gingrich is my third choice…and someone I think would make an excellent Vice President under Herman Cain. For anyone else, Gingrich needs to be the Chief of Staff. He would excel in that role like no one in history before him. I think the job was tailor made for him, to be honest.
I’d support Rick Perry next, and note that he’d be much higher on this list if he didn’t keep stumbling in the debates and if his supporters were also not such jerks (if you think I will ever forget what Erik Erikson did on September 30th when he spent the entire day on Redstate.com mocking Governor Palin and her supporters, you are deluded…and yes, I think it’s fair to reflect that sophomoric stupidity onto Perry since Perry chose Redstate as the venue from which to launch his campaign).
Rick Santorum’s the next pick for me…followed closely by Dr. Paul (who’d also be much higher if he conducted himself better in public and if his supporters didn’t run around in those masks).
Jon Huntsman is an Obama operative and would never in any capacity get my vote.
Interestingly, the 2012 election might end up depending on the Vice Presidential choice for me, in the event the Cocktail Party GOP establishment gets its way and succeeds in nominating John McCain again Mittens Romneycare.
The only way I’d ever vote for Romneycare is if Allen West or Herman Cain was on the ticket as the VP choice. This won’t happen, since it’s clear to me Mittens has already promised the VP slot to Tim “Droopy Dog” Pawlenty for some unknown reason. But I could see myself excitedly campaigning for West or Cain to be VP…in the same way I excitedly and enthusiastically campaigned for “Palin for VP” back in 2008, though I never much liked or trusted McCain.
If Romneycare’s the nominee but West or Cain (or someone dynamic and trustworthy like them) aren’t on the ticket, for the first time ever I’ll have to sit down and look at EVERYONE running for the presidency and decide whom I think is the most fit for office and who can best reflect those five points above.
I know that person won’t be Barack Obama obviously but if it’s a third party candidate who scores higher on my personal index than Romneycare, then that’s who’ll get my vote.
I really hope the combined efforts of the Left, the agenda-driven media, the Obama campaign, and the Cocktail Party GOP establishment don’t force a worst-case-scenario like this for me, but this is honestly how I think my thought process would work if it did.

I missed the very beginning of that, but he was having a conversation wtih Snerdley about things that he would like to share in the show that he’s passionately interested in, but thinks his audience wouldn’t be; conversely, there are things that he feels he has to cover that he is not interested in.
