My friends are business owners and no they don't fear retaliation from their previous homeland... rather they fear what is developing in this country and see it becoming like their old homeland. They grew up under a system where you kept your opinions to yourself or risked losing everything.

As to the parents not speaking English... it's not unusual for an immigrant to cling to what they know. They may not have loved the system of government they left, but many miss their friends, family and traditions. In the same way we as Americans miss our own traditions when others force us to accept new standards/values whilst destroying ours (I'm thinking along the lines of LGBT, American socialists/communists, Unions, Nancy Pelosi and her ilk - and the people who support same).

As a teen, I too did not know the impact of Che and why he was on t-shirts. But this is an aged woman whom appears to not be insane, so .... I guess I’m wondering WTF happens in your life to believe this tripe?
Are you just a constant druggie with no brains?

Did you hear her question a minute or so before that: “Are you Jewish?”

There you have the murderous underbelly of this garbage on the streets.

And once again, just as happened 75 years ago, the press, the media and the bureaucracy are complicit in looking the other way in the face of this filthy, deadly intent.

It happened a little under a century ago too: they start with the rich, they move on to the successful, the skilled, the independent, the “other.” Hell, Zbigniew Brzezinski (a great loather of Israel for half a century now) gave the blueprint for the start of the operation a few weeks ago on Joe Scarborough’s show: Identify the rich, publicize them, follow them, shame them.

If they get it started, the madness quickly spreads.

I may be in error. A friend to whom I sent the video insists that the lady is asking him: “Are you rich?”

It’s still a disgusting question but not quite as ominous and infuriating as what I thought I heard, and I have listened to it a dozen times.

My apologies if I raised a false alarm.

My first time through I thought she said, "Are you a racist Jew?" which is entirely plausible coming from these people.

Ignorance is a lack of education and life experience ... which can be cure. Stupidity is permanent to the bone and usually incurable. These people epitomize the term STUPID.

Short version I've known since the 1970s:

What is the difference between ignorance and stupidity?

   I don't know and I don't care.

I can't find it again but I once read a diary of a man who had spend time in prison in Havana while Che was there. The author described seeing between the bars of his cell, the lefty hero Che march two adults and two children into the inside courtyard of the prison. Che lined the adults (parents?) up facing the children, stepped behind the children and shot each in the back of the head; then he shot the adults the same way.

This is our lefty friends' hero...

Yeah. If you can’t win the argument, resort to personal attacks - this one being the old, tired race card.

Corporatism is classifying society into different interest groups according to their social and economic interests. Although it has been associated with many ideologies it is most commonly linked to fascism, which states an authoritarian government is needed to coordinate all these different factions. Basically I am rejecting the all too common conflation of conservatism with fascism made by politically uninformed people.

I am also addressing the common association of conservatism and Big Business (i.e. corporate) interests. It doesn’t necessarily have to be that way. The primary advantage of capitalism over socialism is that a state monopoly has no incentive to provide goods at a low price whereas a free market with multiple actors involves economic competition and thus creates incentives for economic actors to offer low prices to undersell rival firms. The more economic actors there are, the more competition there is and the better it is for the consumer. Thus a capitalist system dominated by many small businesses is actually more efficient than an oligopoly of a few large firms. Essentially a forward-thinking conservative will support small businesses over large corporations on this principle and try to remove government regulation that strangles small businesses to preserve the interests of corporate lobbyists.

Sorry about the delay in responding to your post. Have a happy Halloween!

Competition is an amazingly effective tool to control greed.

"Basically I am rejecting the all too common . . . ."

Good show. The conclusion is easily reached considering who has been responsible for the bogus definitions and false relationships. Consider the source of so called conventional wisdom.
