Rep. Ryan to Obama the Divider-in-Chief: Class Warfare Rhetoric Makes Nation Weaker
Fox News ^ | 10/26/2011

RYAN: Then he spent months going around the country impugning people's motives, setting up strawman arguments, basically saying Republicans are for dirty air and dirty water and against people with health insurance, basically, picking a partisan conflict versus going for compromise.

But more to the point, Greta, I think it's the rhetoric of class division that is especially destabilizing. This is not the American idea. We believe in a system of upward mobility. We believe in a system to get the hurdles out of people's way so they can rise in society. We don't believe in talking to people like they're stuck in some class and the government is here to help them cope with their station in life.

This appearance with Greta is a follow up to Ryan's Heritage Foundation speech yesterday.

I guess it is wishful thinking on my part, but this IS the man to face Obama in November 12. Why can we not convince him to run? The idea of Paul Ryan debating Obama is delicious. Ryan understands every little red herring, straw man, false choice and misdirection that Obama uses to peddle his debilitating agenda.

Makes me think of an idea I have always had for a cartoon. I wish I could draw or someone could draw it for me.
Setting is a running track.
The conservatives are for making sure everyone gets to the start line and has a fair shot at winning.
The progressives are toward the finish line weighting down the leader, carrying others, etc. wanting everyone to finish at the same time.

Priebus was totally unable to persuade Ryan to run for Senate in 2010. I know Ryan’s family has been threatened, but I would be honored to vote for him and to work for him.

” . . . I would be honored to vote for him and to work for him.”

As would I. I’ve been following Paul closely and haven’t given up hope. He has a new hairdo, he is making blitz appearances everywhere, running a series of listening sessions in the state . . . and, I have found out that the Iowa caucuses do not have a deadline to enter them:)

I probably need a dope slap. lol

Barack Obama the community organizer cum Marxist, has always advocated in nuanced language, the overthrow of “America Land of The Free” for Socialism heavy with Marxist shading. Obama now openly steps on the U.S. Constitution when ever it gets in his way - that instrument calls for the President to uphold all Constitutional Law not just those he agrees with. Obama is so anti-U.S. Constitution he is the leader for OWS and those radicals who fighting against their country. As President who vowed to protect the nation, his treachery towards the United States is impeachable....he is openly giving comfort and aid in words to the enemy among the protesters.

Exactly - and Paul Ryan is the only Republican calling Obama out for it. And Paul uses reasoned and low key language to do so. His critical thinking skills are dazzling and he is able to deconstruct and demolish all of Obama’s childish rhetorical devices.

agreed... I don’t think he is the ONLY republican calling the PREZ out on this .. but he is the most articulate. that’s what our side lacks, someone who can articulate what we stand for.
