Border Agent Sentenced to 2 Years for Abuse of Immigrant Who Claims he Received No Injuries

A U.S. Border Patrol agent has been sentenced to two years in prison for improperly handling a teenager he had handcuffed the boy, a smuggling suspect.

Prosecutors claimed agent Jesus “Chito” Diaz was responsible for the bruises sustained by a 15-year-old boy during an October 2008 arrest near the Ro Grande in Texas.

Diaz, 31, was charged with depriving the teenager of his constitutional right to be free from the use of unreasonable force when he lifted the boy improperly by his arms, and put his knee in his back.

Diaz’s attorneys said that no injuries were sustained from a knee to the boy’s back, just as no injuries were caused to the boy’s wrists where the handcuffs where.

For those of you who remember Ramos and Compean, here it is again. It's still happening.

I'm of the opinion that border patrol agents are political prisoners. Particularly those who have been abused by the feds with these trumped up charges.

Could it be as with the present day version of the Ramos/Compean bloody shirt meme there is a back story which isn’t being told? Ramos/Compean got in dutch in small part because of filing a sanitized (i.e. false) report, and in much larger part because of a mandatory gun-related offense “enhancement.” The shooting itself was never deemed a crime. Alas, this didn’t result in relaxing the “enhancement” law except possibly for the high muckety mucks in government. The common citizen is still subject to this draconian jeopardy.

If I were a Border Patrol Agent, I would spend my time looking the other way and avoiding any incident that might get me thrown in prison while illegals and criminals are walking the street.

The smart ones will find something else to do instead of performing their duty, and that is exactly what this administration wants them to do.

Again what’s the back story, and it certainly does not help border enforcement to wave around falsified or ignorant bloody shirts, needlessly scaring them. The lesson might be as small as “don’t file blatantly false reports.”

Glenn Beck just had the wife of this Border Patrol agent on the air. She said that her husband has gotten no help from Rick Perry. NONE!!! Apparently, his office indicated that this is a Federal matter and that he has no recourse. She was really upset and that her husband has not even had the chance to hold their newborn baby. And to top it all off, this Border Patrol agent is of Mexican descent. Both of his parents were immigrants from Mexico. I was truly appalled by Gov Perry's office response.

How appropriate 2 years in jail for a search, and two agents are dead from fast and furious and no one responsible will suffer anything in fact some were promoted, its now us against them.
