Though Huffington has deemed the allegation "ridiculous," a judge thinks that a lawsuit making that claim is serious enough to go to trial, per a ruling in a New York court Wednesday.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but she's right. 'Liberal-leaning news site" is not a stealable design any more than "conservative radio talk show" is - unless she copied some kind of specific mechanical implementation, no harm and no foul.
