Newt Gingrich is back with a vengeance. But does it matter?

Still, there is much good news for Gingrich. He has used debates to his advantage, promoting his conservative agenda and his fiscal policies. What's more the House Speaker who famously characterized himself as a "bomb thrower" in the heyday of the 1990s Republican revolution came off as the calm and reasonable candidate during the last debate's brawls.

"I think the more I've been in the debates the more that they've been able to go to Newt.org and look at the 21st Century Contract with America and just see the sheer depth of serious thought that I have put into and all my advisers have put into designing solution for America's problems and getting us back on the right track, and I think every week we gained a little ground," Gingrich told Fox News host Neil Cavuto Tuesday. "We're very excited by how this is evolving and how rapidly it's accelerating."

I actually think for all the media elite naysayers who continually write off Newt Gingrich (O'Reilly, Hume... even Rush) are going to be shocked in a month or two where Newt is at. Pure speculation on my part, but I also think a Sarah Palin endorsement is not too far off. Recently one of her biggest supporters endorsed Newt, so I think it is a matter of time.

Do NOT write off Newt. I believe he could come from behind and win this thing, especially if the “front runners” damage each other too badly(something they SHOULDN’T be doing, but they are trying!)

I agree... He is the only candidate who can win a national debate with Obama decisively. That will make the difference!

And, his 21st Century Contract with America is serious and will be the blueprint to de-socialization of America.

Please add me to the list. Thanks. OBTW, has this been posted: “To create jobs, abolish the Death Tax now” ?

Excellent read by Newt. I apologize in advance if it has been posted. Too busy trying to get caught up on my reading to look.

Newt vowing to challenge Obama to seven, 3-hour Lincoln Douglas debates:

If you are not supporting Newt, is YOUR candidate willing to do this? “First you win the argument, then you win the vote”. Newt Gingrich will do both. Go Newt!

Newt would be wonderful, wonderful, wonderful in a think tank, but I’d never put that loose cannon in a position where he is chiefly responsible for policy and executive decisions. That’s because when Newt is bad, he is terrible.

same here, he has no core value except Newt...Some seem to like him cause he talks back to the media, but as I said before thats no reason to vote for him for president. He can change into a liberal in the blink of an eye..

He has used debates to his advantage

Which is what any sh!+ talking professional politician would do. With his experience, the letdown would be that he couldn't.

Wouldn't it be nice if he could adapt those skills and endeavor to be something really grand? Something worth all the effort. Something like being...

The TRUE voice of the AMERICAN people.

Bwahahahaha!

If that piece of shit get the nomination we can kiss this country goodbye. Nothing like conservatives getting behind an unfaithful, Clinton loving, global warming pussy hound.

Much exaggeration is made about the power of the presidency.

The president is the CIC of the armed forces...
The president holds the veto pen...
The president nominates justices to the supreme court...
The president selects ambassadors and such...
The president has the “bully pulpit” (thanks only to the media)...

The president can NOT establish a tax plan.
The president can NOT change immigration policy.
The president can NOT build a border wall.

Too much empasis is placed on the presidency
and not near enough on the house and senate.

I’d take Newt in a heartbeat;
but Cain is my man for the time being.

Newt is a very good debater. Yes, he could crush Obozo in a debate.

Newt is one of the smartest people in the race. FACT.

BUT, Newt is on the wrong team. Anyone who supported Cap & Trade and AGW, is bought and paid for. The Commies took over the environmental movement and use it as a springboard to destroy Capitalism.

Newt was either gullible (I doubt that) or treacherous.

Why would Newt support Cap & Trade, unless he stood to make a bundle of profit off of it? All of the Pols knew it was based on a total lie.

Newt Gingrich is back with a vengeance.

If I may, I'd like to post an old FR favorite . . .

I'll hammer this home, here and now.

I won't vote for a faux conservative. Period. Paragraph. Turn the page. Amen. Put out the lights.

If the machine wants to present a fake conservative (ref: McCain), I'll pass, and vote Libertarian or Constitution Party, or Micky Effin Mouse.

I won't be intimidated into changing that position. Don't like it? Pound sand.
