An Army Ranger who was on his 14th deployment to a combat zone has been killed in Afghanistan.
Sgt. First Class Kristoffer B. Domeij, 29, was killed Saturday when the assault force he was with triggered a hidden roadside bomb in Afghanistan's Kandahar Province.
Domeij served four deployments in Iraq and another nine stints in Afghanistan. During that time he was awarded two Bronze Stars. His third Bronze Star, earned during his final tour in Afghanistan, will be awarded posthumously, according to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command.
Also killed in Saturday's blast were First Lieutenant Ashley White, 24, a Cultural Support Team member, and fellow Ranger Private First Class Christopher A. Horns, 20, who was on his first combat deployment.

RIP. brave warriors. May God bring comfort and solace to your loved ones.
There’s a saying in the Army now; 7 in 7. You can make E-7 in 7 years. Difficult, but not unheard of.
My guess is that he volunteered...........(deep sigh of sadness)
Agree! To waste such talent in a ____hole that has openly said its will turn on us no doubt using those we trained and armed. Let there be glass after our troops and gear are safely home. And lay major damage on the country providing the roadside bomb materials and expertise - what a truly chicken dropping way to do battle. RIP our fallen warriors!
Today, we have no objective-, no way to victory. We weaste these young lives, and then decide to let some new tinhorn tell us when to leave. They threaten us if we dare to go next door and exterminate the vermin who take refuge across some border.
When WW2 ended, there was no doubt in anyone's mind who won.
We stood with our collective feet on their throats until they cried"Uncle". As they showed their intent to remain peacable we slowly let them up. However, we left troops in sufficient numbers to guarantee their intentions. The result? Today they are two of our best allies.
IF we are going to get into these wars, let's send ehough troops to make them short AND decisive.

I can understand that. A lot of these great soldiers (and Marines) have been in heavy combat for years.
Bring them all home along with anything worth taking and then nuke it.
May they all rest in peace in the arms of Jesus.
This is so tragic...I can’t stand it much longer, seeing the cream of the crop of American youth cut down so wastefully, while the dregs of the younger generation occupy Wall Street and spread filth and disease everywhere.
If there is a just God, this chain of events will be totally reversed.
I couldn’t agree with you more.
Perhaps He is waiting for us to reverse it. In any case, our country and our world can’t sustain this insanity much longer.
RIP, Shipmate.
enough of this crap! Bring our troops home already! a Million of these ungrateful pofs are not worth one more American life.
R.I.P.
