It sounds like from the geographic area and size of city that he is referring to Mostar. “The Siege of Mostar” was a particular brutal event from that war. You can find documentary videos about it, including “Unfinished Business” online.

Brutal, of course. But the potential adversaries of St. Louis, Chicago and “Killadelphia” are not nearly as bright and resourceful as the average Bosnian.
