There will not be peace in the middle east while there are muslems and Jews.

1.) It would not have brought peace.
2.) I would not let the "international community" have control of a lemonade stand. There is not a thing they have touched that they have not screwed up.

I doubt very seriously if a deal like that would have bought Mideast peace. In fact, it would probably have brought the next holocaust that much closer.

Name one bully in all history who was long appeased by concessions.
Any land given to the Palestinians becomes a down payment.

This “deal” just didn’t go far enough. Now if Olmert had guaranteed that every Israeli family would off themselves with poison and cleanse the land of Jewish blood, Abbas might have gone for it.
As for Lil Miss Condi?
Shoulda stuck to playing piano.

Israelis have learned that signed agreements with Palestinians lead to Israeli concessions but not peace.

Even if Israel disappeared tonight there would still be no peace in the middle east.

May history record this as,
“Mr. Know-It-All leads the Know-Nothings”.
“What a mistake!”
What an understatement!
This guy's entire administration can be summed up in that insight.
Next year's election cycle ought to be “interesting” to the point of being unprecedented.
What will he and his party run on?
Certainly nothing domestic.
He trumpets his foreign policy “coups” without reference to anyone else, and most all of these “coups” have involved little more than killing.
How can he hype the future, given his past?
If the repubs don't rip this guy non-stop from the get-go, then the party needs to go the route of the Whig party, and be replaced by something that has a more robust future - like the American Tea Party!

No Condi, you were never close to peace. The palestinians have no interest in peace, which is why the offer, like Camp David, was turned down.
