Earmarks, as well as baseline budgeting, must be unequivocally killed.

What’s the use of being a progressive Democrat if you can’t lie, cheat, and steal?

There still exist beneficiaries of Murtha’s activities that are still alive. Let’s see if the FBI broadens their investigation, but I ain’t holding my breath.

Wow, a low life, crooked, lying, cheating, scumbag rat. Who would have thought one would be found in DC?

Shocking, yes, shocking.

Reporters could do little but assemble the coincidences and couldn’t prove there was anything wrong with the bigger picture.

LOL!

When my kids ask me to get then something from another room, I don't even get out of my chair. I just stick my arm out and say, "Sorry, can't reach it."

These reporters couldn't reach any conclusions.

Typical MSM strategy. When “war hero” Murtha was useful in attacking Bush and the Iraq War, say nothing about his corruption. But once he is dead and it can’t hurt the cause anymore, let all his dirty laundry hang out. Same thing happened with Edwards. When he was the young, dynamic, articulate, Kennedy-like Liberal class warrior, the MSM hid his problems. But once he was no longer any use, all the sleaze came out. Its more evidence of just how damaging most media organizations are to our democracy.

"..it is unclear what happened to the investigation."

Not to me it isn't.

The streets of Johnstown, PA were absolutely littered with mysterious sounding defense contractors. Nobody, including the people who worked there, could really tell you what they did there, or why they existed at all, other than to provide sham employment for Murtha supporters.

Great story. Thanks Hunton Peck.

I knew Murtha was a crook. I had heard about the earmarks. But I guess most people outside of the FBI had no idea how corrupt Murtha was.

The only story I can remember now, is about the regional airport he had built.

Remote Murtha airport lands big bucks from Washington

Lobbyist’s Brother Guided House Bill

A family member’s ties to special interests raise questions in the case of Democrat John Murtha.

June 13, 2005

WASHINGTON — When Congress passed the $417-billion Pentagon spending bill last year, Rep. John P. Murtha, the top Democrat on the House defense appropriations subcommittee, boasted about the money he secured to create jobs in his Pennsylvania district.

Lots of familiar names in that article. Politicians were not about to let the FBI complete the investigation of Murtha and release any findings as long as he was alive even though everyone knew he was as corrupt as they come.

Thanks to SECNAV Ray Mabus they'll be a Navy ship named for him and it'll be an amphibius ship that carries Marines, very disgusting.

Navy Names Amphibious Ship for Congressman John Murtha

Everybody knew Murtha was a crook, like almost all RATS. Our whole system is corrupt, not just a few big shots on Wall Street, like the OWS leftists claim, and the biggest crooks in the US are the RATS in Washington and every state capitol.

Thank you so much for posting this. I read it at home at lunch, and you’d already posted it by the time I got to the office. Is anybody going to prosecute this case? Why, O why, are members of Congress “off limits” if they are still alive?

Furthermore, this scam would not have been uncovered if it weren’t for FOIA. Now Holder wants to make it legal for the Government to rfuse FOIA requests, even to the point of denying whether such documents exist.

Article = HORSESHIT. It is a self-serving treatise on how ‘concerned’ FBI was (is?). etc. etc. etc..... FBI is government - OBAMAs government, so is TSA, DHS, Justice, and all the rest. They lie, they obfuscate, they investigate. This article is probably just detracting from some other involvement by the FBI in, say, something like F&F? GW? Shall I go on? I won’t even go into Lon Noriuchi at RR and ATF and FBI at Waco.... NOTHING THIS GOVERNMENT ADMITS IS TRUE.
