President Obama's campaign is bringing on board Broderick Johnson, who was an "informal" Obama adviser in 2008, to be a senior adviser.
Johnson is a registered lobbyist for Microsoft, Ford, FedEx and Comcast.
Meanwhile, Johnson's wife, NPR's Michele Norris, won't be covering anything related to the campaign.

Broderick will be an ear to the ground for the campaign's political and constituency operations, helping to ensure that there is constant, open communication between the campaign and our supporters around the country.

I had the same take! Who can forget the rather rotund Broderick Crawford waddling out of his Dodge patrol car to apprehend the scofflaw du jour?
Way too many donuts took their toll...
