I wonder what this will mean for the stability of Saudi Arabia? How will this impact the region?
They said the line is very unstable. I guess the other prince isn’t doing well health-wise either and underwent back surgery recently?
Interesting times...
“I wonder what this will mean for the stability of Saudi Arabia? How will this impact the region?”
There’s no immediate impact. Though King Abdullah has been dealing with his own health issues, so who knows how long he’ll be around.
According to an article I read:
“The most likely candidate to replace Sultan as Abdullah’s successor is Prince Nayef, the powerful interior minister in charge of internal security forces. After Sultan fell ill, the king gave Nayef — also his half-brother — an implicit nod in 2009 by naming him second deputy prime minister, traditionally the post of the second in line to the throne.”
I don’t know anything about him except what’s available on Google
With everything going on right now in the middle east, this is the last thing the world needs - another instability thrown in the stew.
Well, it's sure not going to help any as far as I can see.
