The Senate will move forward with another piece of President Obamas jobs bill the first week in November, following the failure of two separate pieces of the bill Thursday.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., announced in a conference call today that the next part of Obamas jobs bill that they will now move to is a $70 billion bill to rebuild roads bridges and infrastructure.
The Rebuild America Jobs Act, Reid said, would create hundreds of thousands of new jobs. The bill invests $50 billion in immediate projects for roads, rails and airports and another $10 billion for a National Infrastructure Bank that will leverage private and public capital to help fund infrastructure projects.
The bill is paid for by a 0.7 percent surcharge of Americans making over $1 million.

More pork and spending. Even the Democrats are starting to hesitate.
Surcharge on what? A TAX perhaps?
"IS PAID" for? Did they already write the checks?
Especially the RATS who are up for re-election, they don't want to be anywhere near Obummer & his bills!
Where are the NON-UNION jobs???snort
and if we don't our wives and daughters will be raped?
Note to the nation: You all really want to enable THAT?!
They keep using these words (in these bills) “surcharge of Americans making over $1 million”
I do no think they mean what they think they mean.
First, make Obama account for every penny blown in the first stimulus bill two years ago. After he does that, maybe we’ll talk about giving him some more. (And then not give him any.)
Was the first $800 billion all Democrat payola?
Wouldn’t a border wall be “infrastructure?
Does your question answer itself?
:)
Considering all the signs with “American Recovery Act” I’m seeing all over the road and no roadwork in sight, wasn’t that prior Stimulus supposed to pay for all these shovel ready jobs? I wouldn’t approve a single cent until Plugs Biden submits a balance sheet for the last one.
But millionaires don’t pay taxes!!
Oh, they'll vote to SPEND MONEY, but not to BUDGET the "normal" functions of government!
I can hardly wait until these bastards are out of power. I want them crushed next November.
And why doesn’t the GOP point that out every day? We have such wimps for party leaders.
ABC repeats their propaganda. It's not spending - it's investment. Investment good, spending bad.
There is no such thing as “an immediate project” as long as the EPA exists.
Their main goal in life is to delay anything that even looks like more building on their idea of ‘Pre-Columbian United States; dirt.
LOL! Yes, it does.
