Pheasant hunting? Maybe it's an Iowa thing - King's endorsement is up for grabs here with the Bachmann news, but it would hold a lot of weight IMO.

Why do I have the feeling Santorum has never fired a shotgun before?

Perry will get King's endorsement, and Santorum’s, after the latter drops out.

I’d guess King wouldn’t want to go out on a limb for Sanatorum. King must really like pheasant hunting a lot.

I didn’t know they had pheasants over there. I guess we can shoo some across the border for them.

What do you see as Santorum’s negatives. I think that he’s one of the smartest and most conservative candidates in the primary race. He comes in right after Gingrich on intelligence and ahead of Newt on conservative values.

I don’t dislike Santorum, but I have a couple issues with him:
1. He lost his last election by almost 20 pts.
2. He comes across as kind of a wimp...and when he tries to be forceful it looks fake (because it’s not his nature).

"Is Dick Cheney invited, also?"
Rick Santorem: "hey guys, ya' wanna' ask Dick Cheney to make it a foursome?
Rick Perry: "Uh, nope."
Steve King: "What are you flippin' nuts, Senator"?

Me? RS is one of the bunch that I’m least familiar with, but his two greatest negatives to me are his Specter endorsement over Tooney a few years back and just the fact he lost his Senate seat by almost twenty points and ran a terrible campaign in the process.

hahahaha! I was thinking that...
I hope Perry and King have flak jackets on! Maybe a helmet for good measure.
Even if Santorum is a wicked shot— if politics are discussed high-strung Santorum may start shootin’ at ‘em. :p

I didnt know they had pheasants over there. I guess we can shoo some across the border for them. I've seen them come up out of terraces on CRP ground in the Loess Hills like swarms of mosquitoes.
To: Baladas
...Santorum, who will be looking to bolster their conservative bona fides...He wouldn't need to if he hadn't sold out on SENATOR Toomey.
