Sources tell ABC News that the president will announce today that US troops in Iraq will draw down to zero by the end of the year.
A White House official says that at approximately 11:30am today, President Obama convened a secure video conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to talk with him about this news.

Listening to I-I-I-bama spike the ball! Bringing the war to the end in a responsible way - His Mission Accomplished phrase. Roll the videos of chaos to come.
I put the TV on mute as soon as I heard his first words...”I I I...as the Presdient I promised to end the...bah blah blah...”
I’m sure Mookie and company are thrilled to hear the news..
LOL, from him? Yeah right...
“Kill Khadaffi, get rid of Mubarak, now go after Assad, get the puppets of the west out of muslim lands. This means CALIPHATE, people!”
It also means that the Mahdi/AntiChrist will soon take power; which also means that the Rapture is near. Maranatha.
Obama is doing this to get the Leftist voter turnout firmed up, but how will the inevitable Iranian attacks play?
I'm a little shocked that he is politically stupid enough to do 10 months before the U.S. elections. I expected him to do it in Aug-Sep, so that he could get the “tuck and run” vote without having to suffer the consequences.
Hopefully it will be the end of nation-building
I am so sick of him.
I am so sick of him.
NBC used the “dramatic” special report for this speech.
made me think we had another 9/11 on our hands.
This seems premature until we are aware of how the various revolutions in the
ME are going to end up....
That cinches it. Obama is in full campaign mode. He is now fully invested in the mobs in Zuccotti Park.
Once again putting his re-election desires above the safety, security and needs of this country.
And we’re suppose to be surprised or shocked?
He don’t care. He has not a clue of what it means to be an American...but run a crooked election campaign? Boy Howdy, he da man!
No matter the time of day, I*I*I = a SHOT. Not even 10AM here and I’m toasted! %)
At least they will be able to vote in 2012 at home in the USA. We won’t have to worry about the dems not counting their votes.
[TINFOIL ALERT]
Hmm, maybe he will need as many troops back here as possible for 2012 so when Martial Law is declared he can keep things in check.
[TINFOIL ALERT]
Either that or he is doing this to appease his liberal base which has been constantly erodeing in the last 2 years.
The UN, Euro’s and Obama fully support the creation of a Caliphate across the Muslim world. They think it will be easier to deal with than many different governments. heh.
Why do you think the UN and France went to war to install a Muzzie leader in Ivory Coast?? It got very little attention at the time.
Iran’s leaders are just drooling at this, there is going to be one big-assed party in Tehran tonight.
Anyone notice Scott Pelley (CBS turd) getting his little dig at Bush at the beginning saying the troops went into Iraq at the beginning under the false assumption that there were weapons of mass destruction?
Bill Clinton , while he was President, also stated that Iraq had WMDs.

Sorry, Pelley, but Bush wasn’t the only one who was wrong.
It won’t be Blackwater. And I would prefer by far US military protection—cheaper and better. There will be some thorny questions as to what kind of immunity will be extended to these security forces. And you can bet that Iran will be working with Iraqi dissidents to perform acts of terrorism against our personnel and facililties. As a former diplomat, I would not want to be assigned to our Embassy under these conditions. It is going to be a nightmare.
And, as with everything this administration does, it is an extremely stupid move. If it works, it will have been largely forgotten come election time, but if the Iraq goes sour, it will be a millstone round Obozo's neck during the campaign.
He’ll say that the money saved by bringing the troops home can “be used for job creation, keeping cops and teachers on the job, and for badly needed investments here at home”.
(that argument basically got Bob Casey elected to the Senate in ‘06)
