Is it better to use the federal tax code to force states and localities to do what the federal government wants them to do, if the things we are forcing them to do are things we agree with?

In other words, is our complaint about federal intrusion based on principle, or based on what kind of intrusion we have.

Because what I see are a lot of good ideas, which are pushed on states by using the tax dollars of people who live outside of these zones, to pay off the poeple who live in the zones.

So if my local government won’t enact what Cain thinks is best, I pay more in taxes, so someone else can pay less in taxes because THEIR government did what Cain wanted.

The one good thing of 9-9-9 was that it made everybody equal. But apparently, some people are more equal than others.
