California's plan to cap greenhouse gas emissions and put a price on carbon is set to take effect without delay on Jan. 1 after the Air Resources Board today voted to make final adjustments in the regulation.
The board first approved the cap and trade program last December, but in an unusual move the board took up the final pieces of the nation's only comprehensive limit on greenhouse gases. It is the last major regulation the board considered to meet the requirements of AB32, California's greenhouse gas reduction law.

Sorry to see this happen. I love California. So much good stuff out there!
California, here I come......or not.
You'd think that just ONCE they'd put idiotic regulations on hold at least until the economy recovers, but noooo...
I don’t think people are seeing the big picture. This isn’t about the environment. this isn’t about communism.
This is about simple greed by wealthy leftists who are using communism and globull warming to steal from the people who produce the mst wealth on the face of the earth. We aren’t producing energy because they don’t own it, yet.
These people are no different than the thieves at the OWS shindig.
At what point do us californians finally put our feet down and say, no! We will not obey your job killing and high taxing edicts! No! We revolt!
Federalism allows for nutty uncles living in the backyard.
No industry = no jobs.
No jobs = no money
No money = no mortgage money
No mortgage money = lots of empty housing for unemployed illegals
Lots of unemployed illegals = lots of violence
Lots of violence = lots of dead people
Hmmm, just like Mexico
As the former governor would say, “hasta la vista, baby”.
We tried to put our foot down just one year ago. Surely you remember Prop 23 which would have suspended AB 32, the “Global Warming Act of 2006,” until unemployment dropped to 5.5%. It was defeated 62% to 38%!! Overwhelming defeat. Idiot voters have absolutely no idea what is in store for them. They thought that keeping AB 32 in place is going to save the planet and cost us absolutely nothing.
Well at some point the elloys will demand so much of our lives that we will have had it and really there will be a revolt nationwide. And I am not talking about a gentle one. they have far far surpassed what the King of egland was extracting from the colonists in the 1700’s.
This is gonna be funny as hell to watch while these morons economically kill themselves.
Grab the popcorn!
economic suicide
I used to believe that, but not so sure anymore. The Brits are proposing to tax the daylights out of anyone over 60 to get them to move out of their houses or rent out rooms. This is the result of rabid socialism preventing private investment in housing. So their proposed solution is an even greater chokehold on the private citizen to make up for the shortfalls in their glorious worker’s paradise.
The frogs just don’t jump out of the pot. They are too fat, dumb, and lazy.
It is likely that other states will follow if this goes well in the eyes of the greens, as part of the WCI. They will also be linking with province systems in Canada...
The Land of Fruits and Nuts has now shown to the world it will never again be great.
” actually veer to the right in the general election and finally go republican. Could happen.”
I think CA has gone too far down the hill for that.
I visited a friend I served with in the military. He was a hard-core patriot back then and had turned into a liberal squish. Hardly a bone left in his body. I know, it’s anecdotal. But there’s something in the air, maybe too many liberal molecules floating around. I don’t know.
I believe the only way to save CA is to declare the state in insurrection, and send in the military to remove the commies and fascists by whatever means necessary.
