I've never donated to them but in your effort to bold the big scary part you missed the mandate was tied to receiving tax credits part of the sentence.

That looks different from ObamaCare and, besides, this proposal is 20 years old—in fact it dates to a 1989 book. As it is, Heritage abandoned the idea and when Obama's DOJ attempted to use it to defend ObamaCare, Heritage filed a brief calling the DOJ liars for willfully ignoring Heritages changed policy views.

It's a think tank, it's going to have some bad ideas in its history.

I missed nothing, I pasted it in my excerpt. That part is moot because I don't want to be forced to spend my money for something that the government determines I must spend it on.

It's a think tank, it's going to have some bad ideas in its history.

Fraud or incompetence seem more like it. 20 years back, people like me opposed government mandating personal behavior. If Heritage filed a brief saying what you say, it only shows that they are cheats trying to cover up. They probably thrive on government doles given to them by RINOs. Anyway, you at least admit one point - that Heritage consists of fools with bad ideas.
