French planes stopped Gaddafi convoy

FRENCH warplanes identified and stopped a convoy of vehicles carrying Muammar Gaddafi before he was killed in clashes in Libya, French Defence Minister Gerard Longuet says.
FThe convoy of several dozen vehicles "was stopped from progressing as it sought to flee Sirte but was not destroyed by the French intervention", Mr Longuet said.

From Mo’s last video, looks like the air strike tuned him up pretty good. He was dirt-caked, pale, bloody and in shock. Didn’t take much after that for the local ground forces to capture him and finish the job.
According to FOX NEWS, a U.S. Predator Drone also fired on the convoy.

Latest report is that a French fighter jet and possibly a US drone fired on the Gaddafi convoy and stopped it.The rebels on the ground then shot up the convoy and dragged a very much alive Gaddafi off a truck pistol whipped him and then killed him.I am not one to quibble about semantics but this account really is closer to murder than to a battlefield combat death. Works for me but I don’t think it will work for lefty Obama supporters and the Arab street. He might want to mute his narcissism on this one and let the ragheads take credit for this one.

Are you sure that it wasn’t French Special Forces or SAS that got Gudaffi? I bet that it was a NATO specops that killed Gudaffi.
I shed no tears for the death of Gaddafi, but what will follow? The current administration may soon prove to have been criminally short-sighted with its active involvement in removing authoritative - yet stable - Middle East leaders, handing countries that are vital to the stability of the region over to Muslim radicals bent on the destruction of Israel.

According to late reports he had been hiding in a culvert under the road, presumably to avoid air attack after his original wounds in the leg. The rebels apparently dragged him out, roughed him up then shot him in the head and perhaps 2 other places. One guy took his famous gold pistol. E-bay anyone?
Actually I thought quddafi was further south. Was wrong about that.
