Steve Forbes was in Boston and spoke about the 2012 Presidential race and why he's leaning towards supporting Rick Perry.
"I'm obviously leaning towards Governor Perry. I talked to his people about the flat tax and I think that's the way to go," says Steve Forbes.
"I think with the formal unveiling next week he'll truly be a frontrunner again and will be dominating the debate."
Forbes promoted a flat tax plan when he ran for president in 1996 and 2000. He favors a simplified tax plan and starting over again on healthcare.

Perry ping
You consider Forbes a “semi-irrelevant personality”?
You are only demonstrating your own incredible ignorance.
He talked to Perry’s people? Shouldn’t Perry have had a tax reformation plan prior to running? Instead of trying to head off 999 or his poor debating. Are we really supposed to take him seriously? The guy’s a puppet. Palin come back. We need you!
Forbes is for massive open immigration and unlimited numbers of H1Bs coming into this country, just as Romney and Perry...
Just another rino fest...
Right now I’m Perry ... then Cain ... then Newt (still think Newt would make a good VP for who ever makes it)
TT
Palin isn’t coming back, but Obama is, if people keep pining away for Palin, instead of backing the only candidate who can stop Romney and Obama.
Cain is a flash in the pan, who may hang in there long enough, to help Romney get the nomination and his so-called supporters are trashing Perry, doing Romney’s and Obama’s job for them.
The idea of Perry debating Obama one on one is very scary. Obama will eat him alive in debates. But if came down to choosing between Perry & Romney, I would go with Perry.
“Shouldnt Perry have had a tax reformation plan prior to running?”
He had one. Whatever his handlers told him to back. That’s what you do when you’re working for the globocrats—what you’re told. This is also why Forbes and Gramm are going to come trotting out in support of a plan that isn’t all that far off of Cain’s plan, when they remained silent about Cain’s ideas. They’re all on the same team.
Never mind that a flat tax won’t happen. We’d need a constitutional amendment to make that stick and get Congress to stop tinkering with it.
Let me be perfectly CLAIR, ITY bitty Perrywinkle.
It’s bedtime, and you have exceeded the 400 posts per day maximum!
They’ve made their money and have their protected enclaves. I don’t covet their accomplishments or money. I’m just tired of the world I live in becoming a war zone of crime and poverty and desperation. Events have moved rapidly lately and they need to match that speed or be held accountable. No one made them accept their positions.
Palin isn’t coming back. That statement may come back to bite you.
Cain may be the flavor of the month, as was Perry, the prior month. Why has Perry fallen so far so fast? The heartless statement? No, it’s because all across this country legal people of all colors are sick of illegal south americans stealing their jobs! Got it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exactly. And that's what the 3%ers find so appealing about La Raza Rick.
There’s a shock.
Mr. Forbes, who ran in 1996 and 2000 and now is advising the Perry camp, said that the “concept remains the same” as his own flat tax plan from the 1990s.
Can’t imagine why Forbes would want to support the person that is reviving his own tax plan from 1996.
The 3%ers just don't get it.
Fully 69% of Americans in the latest IBD/TIPP poll say they dont favor states giving in-state college tuition to illegal residents while charging higher fees for legal, out-of-state residents. Just 22% support such a policy. 73% of Republicans are opposed vs. 20% in favor.
Independents have even stronger views: 74%-15%. Even Democrats are strongly opposed 58%-32%.
In fact, a majority of every major subgroup opposes giving illegals in-state tuition rates men and women, rich and poor, urban and rural. Hispanics, who have more conflicted views over illegal immigration than is commonly known, are opposed, 54%-28%. Blacks, who often see illegal immigrants as rivals for jobs, are the most opposed, 80%-12%.
You’re certifiable, you know.
Perry’s borrowing Forbes plan. Gee, guess we know why Forbes likes it! lol

This is just a way to indoctrinate us to a no border mentality. This country has always been dominated by a anglo-judeo-christian culture. The failures of that tenet has always been the primary tool used against it’s existence. The end of that is the end-game.
That is EXACTLY what its about
Mexico has already relaxed their southern border. They figured it out, that they couldn't expect the US to do it if they didn't.
