Perry seems to now be stealing stuff from other candidates. I guess he figures that 9-9-9 got Cain to the top - he might as well steal the idea from him and try to climb back out of the abyss.
Perry is a typical establishment politician. He is now trying to morph into something popular since he has been outed for the fake he really is.
Tea Party folks won’t buy what he is trying to sell.
9-9-9 is totally different than a flat tax. A flat tax would be better.

I don't think so. I believe Perry favored the flat tax in his book, which was released in 2010. He seems to be putting a lot of thought and getting a lot of advice before throwing a plan out there.
Its not stealing it, He's got Graham and Forbes (2 men who ran on flat tax platforms) advising his campaign. They both ran with this in the 1990's.
