It always amazes me that when a person has a near death experience, they no longer fear death. Even this guy... who was being grabbed by talons(?!)
Ok, the talon thing is very creepy and would scare me. A friends father died for a minute or two while at his dr’s office recently and is upset he didn’t see anything. He’s a religious man and would have liked to have seen something. I wished he would have seen my Mother who passed 11 months ago as they were friends.
Sounds like he has watched a few Hellraiser films.

He wasn’t dead. If he had died, he wouldn’t be talking about his experience now.
We’re all “near” dead.
According to the Life-Flight personnel .. I was dead for over 3 minutes and .. I never saw or felt a thing!
We’ve all died countless times. Not a big deal.
I did a report on NDE in high school. I also have read things on them and seen several shows on TV including an ABC special and I Surived - Beyond And Back. The part about the talons is something I’ve never heard before. I do believe that some of these experiences could be legit, especially those that have changed people for the better like Howard Storm.
Not sure an experience like that will make me fear death less. Then again, he was at a crab-eating contest when he nearly died. Maybe the mother crab made it up to heaven and she was pissed...
Don’t forget: we’re all day-to-day.
There is some interesting, peer-reviewed research on NDE’s that may be of interest to the discussion - thought I’d pass along a link that deals with the topic in relation to the human soul -

Is this about Rick Perry’s debate performance or is it about the Harry Belafonte interview?
To quote Jim Morrison, The future’s uncertain, and the end is always near.
“....nearly choking to death at a crab cake eating contest....”
.
Games that gluttons play.
I know of 2 NDEs. The first was my dad who, from the ceiling, watched the doctor operate on him during heart surgery.
The second was a 2 or 3 year old girl whose parents couldn’t get her out of the house when it was on fire. The fireman carried her out, limp and lifeless from smoke inhalation, and worked on her for quite some time. She finally started breathing again. Years later, when her vocabulary skills were better, she offhandedly told her parents how Jesus had met her with her favorite thing in the world.... cheerios.
Then I found two talon-like claws made of ironsharp at the edgesgrabbing at my skin, he continued. My skin was physically being removed from my body it was the most excruciating pain that I have ever felt in my entire life.
Crab cake karma? I'm feeling a bit ill just envisioning the crab cake scarf-o-rama. That just ain't kosher. ~SHUDDER~
