Bachmann was Lutheran. She resigned her membership in the Church shortly before running for president.

Oh, brother!
The name Herman means brother.
Maybe the Hermanator should call Perry “sister?”
Well, if that were Obama talking to Hillary, he would have called her “Comrade”...
Because both of them are members of the Stonecutter guild!
they are Brother Stonecutters!!!!!
Where is the rarefied air you breathe.

Now she’s a generic evangelical Christian. The more fundamental Lutheran denominations are pretty jealous about their membership, almost a mirror of the Roman church. Bachmann wouldn’t have been able to visit other evangelical churches’ services without getting in dutch with WELS, is my read on this. So she parted amicably with that denomination.
You made me laugh.
What a ham he is.
Perry's a Methodist and Both Cain and Paul are Baptist.
Nor did he channel Dan Ackroyd on SNL and say, "Slap my hand, black soul man!"
I heard perry many times calling people brother. In fact in his speech when he declared for President someone made a cheerful comment while he was giving the speech and Perry responded Amen brother or something like that.
If Cain had a problem with it he seemed quite capable of defending himself.
thank you
What this does, because you have a lot of African-Americans located in cities like Detroit, disproportionately, it would encourage businesses to stay in business there or to move there. It would encourage people to work there, because if you live in the empowerment zone, youre going to pay a smaller percentage in taxes.
Do Herman Cain's remarks offend you as an American?
Like Herman Cain cares if you call him brother. The Country is spiraling downward and the lame brains make a conundrum over nothing... Hey Herman Cain——carry on brother.
......”In his first introduction to a national audience, which came at a Texas-sized prayer gathering in August, Perry, who wears his faith on his sleeve, routinely referred to churchfolks of all stripes who gathered with him onstage as brother.
It is a Sunday morning greeting that both Perry and Cain, a preacher, have likely extended and routinely received before and after church service.
Its a term of endearment, shorthand for brothers in Christ.
But, setting aside religion, here is what the exchange also revealed. Cain, with his 9-9-9 sloganeering, has charmed his way to the top of the GOP field with disarming humor and an everyman style. He has emerged as everyones favorite candidate, the guy with whom you want to have a beer.
So Perry, even as he criticized Cain, felt casual and comfortable enough to dig into his big bag of Texas colloquialisms and pull out a brother and a bump.”...
