To: nutmeg

I have a black suit-dress I wear to funerals. I’m rarely in this type of a gathering and so my wardrobe is depleted (depleated? Hahahahaha!). Thanks for the advice. I’ll check through my stuff later today.

LOL, I'm in the same boat, although I'm sure your black suit-dress will be fine.

It sounds like you're in the South... if the event will be held outside, maybe the dress will be more casual?

Up here in Connecticut, during fall and winter, black and navy blue suits, dresses, etc. are pretty common.

Then again, at political events such as this one, I've also seen women wearing red suits and dresses (as a nod to conservative Red State ideology) along with red, white and blue scarves, and patriotic jewelery like this: Red White & Bling
