Pam is very down to earth when you speak to her one-on-one. My husband and I met her at CPAC last year, and we also attended her rally in NYC on 9-11-10 near the site of the proposed "Ground Zero Mosque". There were thousands of people there, mostly New York City-area people. And they were ANGRY that a "Victory Mosque" would be built on the site where human remains and parts of the planes that hit the WTC were found.
Lots of young-ish hippie types - I'm sure they were the very same anarchists that are currently camping out in Zuccotti Park near Wall St. in NYC - got in our faces and screamed that we were racist, intolerant, Islamo-phobes, you name it - we were called every name in the book. Most of these moonbats were 9/11 / "Bush Knew" truthers, btw.
We love Marco Rubio! I would love to meet him as well. We've seen/heard him speak at CPAC as well... there's not a dry eye in the house after one of his soaring speeches. :-)
Marco is the reel deal.
My wife and I attended a fundraiser for the Keys GOP. I am on the exec. committee--our Reagan Dinner in Key Largo in early Sept.
Feature guests were Marco and Ileana ros Lehtinen. IT was terrific.Ileana told the story of how Marco got started in politics with her.
He called one day and asked if they needed any help at her office.
He was told that they had no money for any workers at the time.
He offered to work for free.
The caller told him "in that case come on down." He did.And as they say "the rest is history.' He's a great guy. I got pictures taken with him, some night.
