The battle for the Republican presidential nomination erupted into all out war tonight as Mitt Romney and Rick Perry got personal in a series of angry clashes.
Standing almost toe to toe, the two men repeatedly held up the debate as they bickered over everything from immigration to job creation.

The Landscaping company in question guaranteed that all employees immigration papers were in order. Of course since they are located in Chelsea MA, a “Sanctuary City” they were not allowed to make such an inquiry, So they lied to Mitt. Next time, don’t hire anyone from a Sanctuary City.
He arches his back (chest out), like he's stretching it.
Perry clearly doesn’t have a clue. As for Romney, he’s just ur typical blue-blood republican. The Republican party does not need another “John McCain” republican and that’s exactly what Romney is...
I guess the fall back reason is always the same, follow the $$$$$$$.
I watched bits and pieces of it...did Romney ACTUALLY SAY THAT???
We need a bully.
I had it (..that quote..) in the title but the mod took me to the woodshed and replaced it with the whole title. =^D
YES! he said that. He was practically spitting. Did the same thing in 2008. The interesting thing is, last night Mitt chastised Perry for “interrupting” HIM!!!!! But if you watch the 2008 encounter he had over the same issue with Rudy, Mitt tries to shout down Rudy.
This is his soft underbelly.
I agree. Hope it’s healing well.
“You’re going to send her home because her mother brought her here when she was 2?
If it were my decision, and if I had the authority to do so, absolutely.
Laws need to be enforced, otherwise there is no point in having laws.
Consider the following hypothetical situation:
A man steals $10 million from a bank, gets away without anybody noticing, then gets married, has a couple of kids and settles down in nice, affluent community, becoming a respected member of society. He provides a very nice life-style for his family and sends his kids to private schools. Then the authorities finally track him down, arrest him and seize his ill-gotten gains. Do we allow his wife and kids to keep the money, home, cars, and affluent life-style that he created with stolen money? After all, according to your logic, his family shouldn’t have to suffer because he stole the money before he met his wife and before the kids were even born.
Either we deport all illegal aliens when we find them, or we don’t deport any of them. It’s that simple. But we don’t do that. We allow them to break the law, establish themselves here, get married, have children, etc., then when they get caught everybody cries: “What about the children?” and we are guilt ridden to the point that we don’t do anything about. Which only encourages more illegal immigration. Now, that is truly absurd and assinine.
The only way to correct this situation is to hold illegal aliens accountable and send them home, regardless as to their age or how long they have been here.
You cannot pick up a turd by the clean-end. You’re going to get dirty no matter which end you pick it by. So just pick it up, throw it away and wash your hands.
At least that’s how I see it.
Gads! I don’t like the 9-9-9 but Beck’s minions are getting Cain’s plan wrong, too! Sheesh those ninnies should shut up!
He can claim that, but as Perry pointed out, The Globe went to his house and informed him of it--a year later they were still there working.
Yes if Mexico could get their economy going it would help and Perry is the only one working on this, which seems the most logical thing to do.
We spend money in other countries to 'keep the peace'.
If she’s here illegally then absolutely send her home. She and her parents DO NOT BELONG HERE and taxpayers have no real obligation to support them in ANY way. It is not absurd, the 15 yo and her mother belong back in their home country and if it is not a nice place then too bad. Let the honor student and her mother work to make changes in their POS country instead of stealing tax money from my kids pockets and taking services, scholarships and grants that my kids would never qualify for as actual citizens.
They looked like a couple of kids clowns arguing.
Embarrassing for the entire Republican Party. Can you imagine what an Independent would think tuning in and watching those two idiots scratching at each others eyes like little girls?
Let's nominate an adult, or maybe two.
Beck is sick again? Do you know what is wrong?
*snicker*
Not sure, he was gone yesterday and they said he would be back today and he isn’t.
Though at one point this morning they mentioned Beck not having his voice.
Allergies maybe? Cold? He sounded fine Monday on the radio and on his GBTV. *shrug*
