Los Angeles schools Supt. John Deasy condemned the alleged anti-Semitic remarks by a district employee taking part in the Occupy Los Angeles protest and said she would no longer work for the school system.
In a video that gained traction in the conservative blogosphere, Patricia McAllister, a substitute teacher for L.A. Unified, said that Jews run the nation's banking infrastructure and should be forced from the U.S.
"I think that the Zionist Jews who are running these big banks and our Federal Reserve, which is not run by the federal government -- they need to be run out of this country," McAllister said in the video by Reason.tv, a Libertarian-leaning news organization. She said in the video that she was an employee of L.A. Unified, although she was representing herself at the protest.
Deasy, in a statement released Tuesday, acknowledged that McAllister was offering her "private opinions" and said the district recognizes "the law is very protective of the freedom of speech rights of public employees when they are speaking as private citizens during non-working time."
However, Deasy said McAllister, as a day-to-day substitute teacher, was an at-will employee, and as of Tuesday she was no longer employed by the district.

====She was just on the local 5 PM news live and she said that the Jews have been run out of 192 countries and now we need to run them out of the US.====
I wonder if she has a final solution in mind.
This is what is teaching our children.

Freedom of speech... It’s just for people we agree with isn’t it..?
Would we be equally happy if a teacher complains about the hispanic crimewave or muslim terrorism and is fired?
Cases like these cement the school system as an ideological training ground.
Those photos say it all. What else does one need to know?
But when the free speech reveals someone to be evil, or utterly uneducated, or both,,, We cant exactly hire them to teach our young children, can we?
Her “jews as the boogie man of history” theory reveal her as uneducated enough to be teaching. Period.
I agree if she complained about Hispanic gangs, Christians, Muslims or Buddhists and was fired would we be cheering or complaining? This is America and vets have fought to give each of us the right to say what we wish as long as it doesn’t libel others.
It is only a baby step between groups such as omnipotent school systems stealing our right of free speech and having us being totally muzzled. She said her piece and that is our right even though others may not wish to hear it. That’s her right.
That should have read uneducated enough to be removed from teaching,,,
And speech has consequences. If you want society to hire you to teach it’s children, then you shouldn’t reveal yourself as an uneducated nazi.
When i was a kid, i never had a clue as to the politics of my teachers. I was amazed to see them in town sometimes. She was deeply unprofessional, and seems not to be a student of history. She should have been fired.
Black leftists spewing mindless conspiratorial nonsense about Jews is a long-standing tradition.
Did she say it in the classroom? If not then the school district has no business making it their business.
It’s like your liberal employer firing you because you said something off the job that had nothing to do with the firm, but was something that they didn’t like.
I’m very concerned the direction of the USA with these aggressive non-conservative PC police, especially when conservatives now claim they have a right to fire people for speech. Have we the people given up our right to believe and say what we wish off the job? What’s next being fired for stating that illegal immigrants should be sent back to Mexico.
This is totally wrong!
Allegedly made anti-semetic remarks? Is there any doubt?
You don’t understand at-will employment.
From condemning 'banksters' to condemning Jewish bankers seemed what "Occupy' was up to...

First of many, I hope.
Thanks Beaten Valve, and thanks superintendent John Deasy. His remarks about private opinions and protecting free speech don’t fly in a school system, any public school system, with its thicket of “zero tolerance” policies.
