He wouldn’t, because Perry can’t debate. Man, he’s terrible at it. It’s embarrassing. If the president's job consisted of debate performances, that might be a disqualifier. Also, the Press doesn't get to set the number of debates or define the forum of debates for the general election. The two candidates agree to the number and type of debates. Perry can choose his best forums.
