Mexican President Says US Deportations Feed Violence in Mexico
FOX NEWS Latino ^ | Oct. 18, 2011

President Felipe Calderon on Monday accused U.S. authorities of deporting Mexican criminals to save on judicial costs, a policy that ostensibly "exacerbates" violence.

Within the framework of the inauguration of National Immigration Week 2011 in this capital, Calderon said that, for example, U.S. authorities "are deporting up to 80,000 people in a year" into the border cities of Reynosa and Ciudad Juarez.

Some of these deported people "are migrants, certainly, probably all of them," although some were "already involved in criminal acts" in the United States.

"In the face of the dilemma of pursuing the legal process in the American courts, which implies costs for the administration of justice in that country, they simply prefer to deport them to border cities, by which the cycle of violence is exacerbated even more," he said.

The Mexican leader went on to say that it is "truly inhumane and scandalous" that U.S. authorities are apprehending and deporting alone and "without any protection" children as young as 6.

Oh, better to have Mexican nationals do crime in the USA rather than in Mexico. HUH?

Mexico may feel the heat even more as their escape valve gets closed off with a sealed border. Reforms in Mexico are critical and they must not hold off any longer. It might be to the United States' best interest to assist in giving advice. It certainly would be in our best interest to maintain our friendship with Mexico. Soon it will be too late and Mexico may face a civil upheaval. There is no telling what consequences we would face then.

What nimble politics this is...!

He managed to satisfy Mexican objections to higher levels of violence by decrying deportations, yet conspicuously he totally side-stepped the matter of GUNS.

How funny, you know? You would think that a Mexican Presidential statement on higher levels of border violence in Mexico would ABSOLUTELY mention Fast And Furious about 20 times, right? He’d be screaming about it, si...?

WHY do ya think he did not.....?

BECAUSE HE WAS COMPLICIT.

Mexico is a small white elite trying to control an overwhelming indigenous population, it’s going to blow sooner or later.

Felipe, Felipe, Felipe . . . . . we need to talk, you ignorant peon!!

For decades, Mexico's version of the Mariel boatlift has been crossing illegally into America and we have tolerated it. We've tolerated your ignorant, non-English speakers coming here and taking jobs from citizens; we've tolerated them trying to impose the Mexican culture, language and (lack of) values on us, and, we've tolerated and paid dearly for the increasing crime rate that the criminals you exported to America have committed.

Don't cry to us if we send your criminals back home - al 20+ million of'em as soon as we can. Meantime, enjoy the trickle BEFORE it becomes a tidal wave!!

It's not fair!

They try to clean up their cities by sending their trash here and we screw it all up by sending their trash back to them!

It's enough to make a democrat cry!

“Mexico is a small white elite trying to control an overwhelming indigenous population, it’s going to blow sooner or later.”

The big white guy (Fox) begged Bush not to close the border for this very reason; Mexico couldn’t have all those unemployed young men back there. Bush complied, of course.

That’s exactly why Fox and Company are desperate for the US to keep the border open, they fear their heads will be put on pikes.

Somebody should ask Mr. Calderon about the disgrace of his own country that finds it necessary to export its criminals and poverty to the US where they proceed to kill by way of DUI and rape/molest innocent US citizens. This of course is done to prevent any reforms to their own country. If these young men stayed put and agitated for change, that would threaten the status quot of the corrupt class in Mexico City.

Mexico is a failed state and should be treated as such. The shame lies with them.

Obviously (she said holding her nose and diving in) Calderon is a liar. We all know that no one is deported. All illegals are inTexas where they feast, live high on the hog, with Rick Perry teaching their college classes for free,

Illegal immigration preserves TWO rotten political systems:

1. In Mexico, it removes those who abject to the status quo the most.

2. In America, it boosts profits by permitting for cost savings, where costly innovation would instead have been required.

“That’s exactly why Fox and Company are desperate for the US to keep the border open, they fear their heads will be put on pikes.”

I thought he made that clear very publicly in one of his visits here; there was no attempt to mask it at all. For an oil-producing country, Mexicans should have a better life than they do; about 20 years ago I remember armed Indians rioting in the south for schools, hospitals, and such (and getting them).

Every election cycle, El Presidente of Mexico starts up with the rhetoric to deflect his own country’s problems and turn it into a U.S. guilt trip.
