“Cincinatus’ Wife” is becoming to Herman Cain what “Pissant” was to Sarah Palin.

Herman Cain is getting vetted.

Herman Cain: “The role of government, in my view, is to maintain an equal balanced playing field for the citizens and for our society. Not to throw it out of balance.” - 3:30 into discussion: Herman Cain on John Stossel Show, Fox News

10/15/11: Cain talking about elec fence Video

10/16/11: “That’s a joke,” Mr. Cain told the journalist David Gregory during an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” where he was asked about the electrified fence. “That’s not a serious plan. I’ve also said America needs to get a sense of humor.”

Herman Cain acknowledges his electric border fence idea isn't a joke after all

Meet the Press – October 16, 2011 Aprox 25 minute video:

[snip] David Gregory: “Would you deport illegal immigrants in the country right now?”

Herman Cain: “Here is my approach to illegal immigration. Here again, this is what’s resonating with the people. How I would solve the problem. It’s not as simple as, would you deport. We must secure the border. It would be a combination of a physical fence, technology and in some areas we might have to put troops there. We must secure the border. Secondly we must promote the path to citizenship that’s already there. We need to clean up the bureaucracy. Third enforce the laws that are already there. The way you do that is number four, which is a bold idea – empower the states to do what the federal government can’t do and won’t do as far as dealing with illegals that are in the United States today.”

Gregory: “Why you and not Mitt Romney?”

”Why me and not Mitt Romney? Mitt Romney is a great businessman. I have a lot of respect for him. He has been more of a Wall Street executive. I have been more of a Main Street executive.”

10/02/11""My reaction is, that's just very insensitive," Cain told Fox. "[There] isn't a more vile, negative word than the N-word, and for him to leave it there as long as he did, before I hear that they finally painted over it, is just plain insensitive to a lot of black people in this country."

10/03/11: “All I said was the mere fact that that word was there was ‘insensitive,’ ” Cain said outside Trump Tower in Manhattan, N.Y., according to the National Review. “That’s not playing the race card. I am not attacking Gov. Perry. Some people in the media want to attack him. I’m done with that issue!”
