Perry electable? Not based upon his debate performances hes not!!It's not La Raza Rick Perry's debate performances that killed his campaign but the issue of his pandering to ILLEGAL invaders and his inability to logically defend it.

He actually is strong on immigration. He has been criticized in all his elections for being too tough on immigration. His instate tuition is a money issue. Texas has no income so if you are in a state for 3 years you are a resident. States have to clean up Federal messes. He can not deport anyone. States on the border deal with immigration based upon money. Is it cheaper to have productive illegals or not allow illegals any benefit and have unproductive people who are in criminal courts. Life is not just black and white it has shades of color.

Agreed, but you won’t convince the “kill them illegals” crowd.

Read “This is Herman Cain”,, and you will see why why he is exactly the man we need at this time. If Romney couldn’t beat McCain, how does anyone think he can beat Obama? You might take a look at 2 Thessalonians 2, then Google The White Horse Prophecy. We really need to do our homework before voting in the primaries.

Cain is marvelous. Perry is less than stellar, but he is a conservative politician. My fear is that although Cain is extrememly smart, he does not have a politicians instinct to work with other politicians. He will be fighting an uphill battle before he starts. My dream ticket is Perry/Cain with Herman pulling the heavy load and Perry helping to grease the skids. Romney is just Barry lite and that has not been working for anyone. When good is bad, not must be the choice.

The problem lies in the fact that conservatives do not have a single favorite candidate. They have six favorite candidates! Can't we at least get through a few of the primaries before settling on one of the candidates? Otherwise, why even bother with the primaries?

The man cannot hold his own in a debate. The democrat candidate and his allies in the media will make mincemeat out of him.

Perish the thought! We need to pray that Herman Cain is divinely protected from any harm or illness. And that his path is cleared to victory.

Rush just said that this is no time to move for the moderate candidate, that this is the time to go for the most conservative candidate that we can find. Who do you think that is? Who is the MOST conservative candidate who is running for the Republican nomination?

As someone, among millions upon millions which Rick Perry has outrageously deemed "heartless" for wanting to uphold the rule of AMERICAN law by denying ILLEGAL (what is it about the word "ILLEGAL" these clowns, like Perry, et. al, fail to understand?) ALIENS in-state tuition, his outrageous stand on this issue has cost him my support and vote.
If voters want soft on ILLEGAL ALIENS, they can vote for Obama. As for me and mine; Herman Cain is going to get our vote here in NH because unlike Perry, he is in reality the "Best Hope for a Solid Conservative."
"Oh, but he has no money", you say... that is ok, once the genuine grass-roots movement, the Tea Party gets behind him, that will change.

The thought of Perry on a national stage, live on television, debating Obama...

My sympathies to Perry supporters, because he is unlikely to come back. I went through the same disappointment with Duncan Hunter, but this time a progressive fraud isn’t our only choice left.

His record on illegals stinks. Romney is better I am a one issue voter. I am not a one issue voter. I think that's stupid. But if I was, it would be guns, and Myth's record is he has signed gun bans, and supports reinstating the Clinton "assault weapons" ban. As for illegals, Myth has no "record".

How is our best hope a man who can't debate or articulate a reasoned verbal defense (or even a proper recitation) of conservative principles and values? I was a George W. Bush supporter, but I grew VERY tired of his inability to communicate well in front of a camera. We need a well-spoken candidate who is quick on his/her feet and able to debate Obama - at the very minimum.
In my view, there are only several candidates who have the proper communication skills necessary to debate Obama and defend conservative positions - Gingrich, Cain, Romney or Santorum. Period.
Perry seems to have problems just stringing words together in what would otherwise be known as "sentences".
