Ok, he said he would build an electric fence with a sign that says “It Will Kill You!”

Only MOST of the border is down the middle of the river. Some of the fence will be on one side or the other, or crossing through the river.

Which means you either need gates at every river crossing so people can navigate the river; or you need to cede the river to Mexico; or you have to seize parts of Mexico.

IN some cases, the fence would actually bisect people’s property, cutting people off from their own land. And apparently some here think we should kill those people if they try to cross the fence to visit their own property.

I wish I knew how to post small portions of a google map, to show how absurd this “build a fence on the entire border” really is. I’m betting most people who mock Perry have never bothered to pull up a satellite image and SEE what they are talking about.

Agree...the man is smart and knows what he is doing....just like the lawyer who says something he wants the Jury to hear even though he knows the Judge will disallow it....once spoken it is out there...IMO that’s why he said mea culpa three times....another way of saying “Okay, blah, blah ,blah, I’m sooo sorry”.....we all get it and know that he meant what he said the first time. Good for him !!

You either don’t know much about representative government or you are ignoring the facts just to attack Governor Perry. The Texas tuition bill was passed on behalf of the people of Texas by a 177 to 4 vote. Remember, these representatives represent the will of the people—or did you forget that on purpose? If Governor Perry had vetoed it, do you think it would have failed? The people’s will was veto proof! The vote was 177 - 4! So, it is not just Governor Rick Perry you think should stay in Texas. It is all of the people of Texas! Maybe they should succeed from the United State too! Not!

Trespassing is not a capital offense. No person who respects life would ever think to kill someone solely for being somewhere they are not supposed to be. If you ever have a kid, you better pray that nobody thinks it is OK to kill people for trespassing, because every kid will trespass over someone’s property some day. So, maybe YOU could explain why some 25-year-old unarmed woman who is crossing the border because she can’t find a job in her country and believes that she can survive in America should be killed on sight. Of course, maybe you aren’t pro-life. That would explain your blood lust.

What are you doing, Charles, practicing liberal heartwrenching generalizations so you can use them at the college coffee shop to try to get laid?

Context is everything. What's a poor, lonely, unarmed woman only looking for work doing trying to scale a fence into another country that is clearly marked in Spanish as being protected by deadly force, a military presence, and an electrifed wire?

What is a thief doing merely standing, with his poor little presence alone, in someone's dark living room at 3 AM with a family asleep?

What do you think genuinely dangerous people do, Charles - advertise the fact? Or pretend to be harmless?

Proper use of lethal force - like everything else in this big bad world, Charlie boy, is contextual. And that means sometimes, under certain conditions, poor little people just standing in the wrong place get blown away. But not nearly as often as happens by lightning - or as is imagined by weeping liberals like you.

Grow up, you're disgusting.

Go around the dang thing on the American side

So you are one of the people who want to give the Rio Grande to Mexico. Great. Are there any other parts of our country you want to give away to foreign interests for your "security", or would you move on to giving up your liberty? I take it you also don't care about the population of creatures in America who need water access to live. Since you don't care about Americans having the right to access the Rio Grand to fish, boat, recreate, swim, or just enjoy, why would you care if we kill off large parts of the desert life.

Are you insinuating Cain is Tax and Spend?

Come on, how low can a Perry supporter stoop?

Oh, yeah right. I recall now.

I guess Perry will just KEEP the tax code that is strangling prosperity in the US. and EVERYBODY will be working on an oil rig.

Is using deadly force to protect the border wrong or not?

Yes. If we are not at war, and are not being invaded by a foreign army, and they are not armed thugs smuggling drugs who point their weapons at our people, it is WRONG to use deadly force.

Would you support Canada shooting your kid if he thought it would be fun to sneak into Canada? "Well, he was trespassing, so he's dead but it's all good."

Or to put it in a more likely scenario, how would you feel if your kid snuck into a local theatre and the theatre owner shot him dead. Would that be OK with you, since your kid would have been invading private property without permission?

Have you never in your life turned your car around in a private driveway? Would you mind if we killed you when you did, since you are trespassing?

So you are saying that if you lose your job because some illegal takes it, you would be justified to go to your employeer, find the illegals, and kill them?

How about just driving by the local 7-11, and shooting all the day laborers standing around? Most of them are illegals. Or should you just drive your truck through them, and save the bullets?

But apparently Eisenhower messed up. He was supposed to round up the “illegals”, and put them in gas chambers.

I seem to remember another country who decided there were people in their country who didn’t belong, and that it would be OK to kill them for the good of the nation.

Sorry, I don’t remember anything about the Pope’s apology. but today too many people are just looking for something to complain about...I have known people like that, not happy unless they are complaining...I just cannot understand that attitude...My mother use to tell me, grow a tougher hide. And I did. Don’t get offended easily, in fact cannot remember being offended...but can remember being pi$$ed off..:O)

So, maybe YOU could explain why some 25-year-old unarmed woman who is crossing the border because she can’t find a job in her country and believes that she can survive in America should be killed on sight.

The wealthy growers prefer Guatemalans over Mexicans to work on their plantations, where they raise mangos, bananas, coffee, and dozens of other crops in the fertile, steamy ambiance of southern Chiapas. Echoing U.S. employers’ claims about Americans, these finqueros insist that Mexicans will not do the hard work of planting, cultivating, and picking.

How do you know that she can't find work and isn't just one of the above?

Yes, he said repeatedly he would kill them.

This is a profoundly dishonest thing to say.

If I recall correctly, the Pope made a comment about the muslims and then later apologized that they were offended by his remarks. Something like that.
